The other side of the coin is that paywalls often prevent citizens from finding out about research on important public issues. Does anyone want to recommend a good way around them?

Something I was reading the other day mentioned a paper and another poster pointed out that the 'journal' it was in had published exactly one paper the one another poster was using as evidence.

I'm fortunate enough (for the time being) to have a university student give me access to their online library account. Incredible amounts of information. I don't remember not finding a study I was looking for. It's not really a way around the paywall, more of an alternate route to the source?
