Chemtrail Follower

Hi there, Chemtrail_Follow here. This was the identity I used on Facebook which received much popularity. I added thousands of people whom I've got to meet over the past few years. After watching some science shows and stuff I began to question my beliefs, so I mustered up the courage to come here and have a gander at some of the information posted, now I don't think I can get enough of this site. No, I'm not a "troll" (well, maybe) but I can't get enough of this and I can finally say after 4 years since listening to Alex jones first mentioning Chemtrails, to watching the WITWATS (what in the world are they spraying), observing the CHEMTRAILS (contrails....wink) To talking with "Code red" targeted individuals who are being "beamed with microwaves(advanced withheld military technology) on the phone and suspecting wire tapping and seeing post after post of people posting their pictures and stories all caught up in almost every conspiracy discussed here, to chat conversations with group leaders (you probably know who) for geo engineering awareness and genuine conversations with people who par take in the "activist" arm of this whole chemtrail / agenda 21 depopulation agenda conspiracy for the sake of saving humanity and waking up the sheep by spreading awareness... TO FINALLY BEING ABLE TO GO OUTSIDE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THE AIR IM BREATHING OR THE RAIN HITTING MY HEAD. I NO LONGER HAVE TO WEAR AN UMBRELLA OR WORRY THAT IM THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WHO POSSESES SACRED KNOWLEDGE THAT MOST ORDINARY PEOPLE DONT HAVE AND I DONT HAVE TO STRESS OR FEEL GUILTY ABOUT NOT WAKING UP THE WORLD TO THE TERRIBLE STUFF GOING ON.

I JUST WANT TO SAY BRAVO, YOU GUYS HAVE DONE TREMENDOUS WORK AND I APOLOGIZE FOR HELPING SPREAD THIS TERRIBLE RUMOR AND FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SO BRAINWASHED WHO THINK YOU GUYS ARE CIA TROLLS SPREADING PROPOGANDA, YOU ARE THE REAL TRUTH SEEKERS AND THE ONLY PEOPLE I FEAR MY LIFE NOW ARE PROBABLY THE CONSPIRACY TROLLS READING THIS WHO THINK THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR LIFE ON THE LINE TO SPREAD AWARENESS OVER THESE ISSUES TO HELP SAVE THE PLANET. LOL!!!

I just wanted to say thanks and can't wait to actually educate myself, it's been a blast reading some of the discussions and I feel I'm not even 5% of the way through. Hopefully I can contribute in some way, I've been trying to inform some of the big hitters I know recently in the campaign to 'wake up humanity before we're doomed' about persisting contrails but none of them seem to want to listen or have a level headed convo about it and automatically dismiss anything you say and block / delete you. Even though I've been apart of it longer than some of these folk even though I am young, as soon as you take one side on one issue alone you are considered a troll or buying into the "crap" you guys seem to be spewing, seriously and I was one of them.

Bravo you guys, if there's anything you need from me don't hesitate to ask... I have a good source of conspiracy info at the tips of my fingers, but I'm sure you guys have heard and seen it all and don't care to hear any more of it. I just wanted to let you guys know the improvements you've made in my life now and well, I sorta look up to some of you.

It's going to take a while to get through this site, it's one of the best things I've come across.

(Even though what I went through was insane and went through an episode of psychosis at one point, I stopped smoking weed and started getting my health in shape) Also, a lot of these people only mean well, which is hard to keep in mind sometimes and I've made some good friends who've helped me out a lot, even if it's just small things. And I don't completely regret it because it's triggered so many life changes that I'm very thankful for.

Also, you guys offer a lot of help here for people like me.

I will just "briefly" add a welcome.

Just today (unrelated, and "off-site", but another "hoax" belief) I engaged someone about...well, a different belief (OK....it was the so-called "Apollo hoax"). This veers OT for this "Welcome thread" of course.

My "point" (if there is one) is merely to thank you for your story, here in the "Welcome" thread. It's encouraging, certainly.

Perhaps so-called "chem"trails are the "Hoax-du-jour"? (Sorry....trademark pending....and of course, this was humor). Apollo is a much longer-lived "hoax" belief. AND....really not worth the effort to "De-Bunk" on this site, since it's really quite old. Sorry.

Welcome Chemtrail_follower!

(guess I'm gonna have to come up with a nickname for you though since I'm not calling you Chem (well, maybe) :)

Welcome Chemtrail_follower. I've moved your post from the welcome thread to here, as it's an interesting story, and might spark some discussion.

I wonder if your remember the things that actually triggered the start of your questioning? Was there a key realization, or just a gradual change?

You had me at..."I'm not a "troll" (well, maybe)"

You had me at.png.jpeg

All kidding aside, I expect that your experience
will add welcome perspective, here, CF.

Yes, actually, very good question. However, it wasn't one particular thing, but a gradual series of events because of changing my life habits for the better. After worrying so much about all this stuff I figured all I could do is take care of my own health, so that's what I started to do. I started going outside more, started with small walks and getting a 150foot ethernet cable to reach outside so I could be on the computer while doing the learning I was in my yard. So I was outside a lot, still thought chemtrails were real until I started noticing planes that looked exactly like any other "chemtrail" plane leaving a trail behind it, but it was disappearing, and for 3 weeks there was blue sky. But the seasons changed and sure enough the trails started sticking for longer again.. So I thought it was something to do with the weather. I began asking questions which led to me to ask more questions which led me to this website.

It would be really interesting to hear your perspective on how it would be possible to have a genuine constructive dialogue with a believer, and how you would suggest to present facts in order for us to get listened to?

once I started posting questions about how maybe they are just contrails on some of his posts he had to privately message me and ask me to stop posting on his wall and to take down my comments, which I thought was kind of strange. So anyway, after that I pretty much just started to question everything and Agenda 21... Now pretty much I am here.

That's interesting, as it seems like it was the more extreme claims that actually pushed you to question things, and once you started that, it was easier for you to be more open minded (in the true sense) about the less extreme claims.

I've seen this before, once people start down the path of science and skepticism, then they generally keep going. But it takes something to set them off, and often that's a more extreme claim, like the Moon landings being faked, or the 9/11 planes being holograms. These extreme claims kind of force you to draw a line - and then when you've draw the line, you have to ask why some things are on one side of the line, and then you get into critical thinking.

Heya Chemtrail Follower, I popped over to take a look at a couple of you tube videos from jokertattooo, he is pretty adamant about the whole thing isn't he? LOL But I noticed he hasn't posted anything for about a year now, did he change his channel? or did 'they' get him? ;)

I don't respond well to that extreme "I'm so damned sure I'm right!!!" tone that by the time I was slimed
with random nonsense like "Sneaky Petes" "Get it through your heads!" "cranial pressure"
and the government crushing "your children's toys while they slaughter you like pigs" o_O
I realized I wasn't even 3 minutes (!!) into the 36:48 rant (in the linked video...).

Nice touch that he's mad at his host, "JewTube"

I wish there was a button for skeptical...sorry

I'm not sure what this means: "skeptical" re. what?...and sorry, why?

Seems strange that he would message you - usually these people just delete comments, block users and pretend nothing happened! Do you think that suggests that he knows he is lying?

My apologies Mick, for going down that path, of course, you're right. I was just curious to see what he had to say and noticed he was no longer posting.

I remember one guy who thought every plane in the sky is a hologram, I would question those kinds of things, but I decided not to go down that path..

I'm not very bright considering I pretty much blindly followed this for so many years. o_O

Each of those dots and lines in my display picture represents the amount of friends requests I received within a period of about a year. So as you can see, it's pretty widespread:eek: .

(Mostly where all the flight paths are ;)lol).

That's where you really begin to connect the dots.. PERSISTANT Contrails... Global flight paths, no wonder there's parallel lines in the sky and grids.

A LOT of things were running through my mind today......

How will people respond to this once they see it? I don't wish to hurt anyone's feelings.
How am I going to celebrate? :D
What should I do after this?
And you guys will like this one... What if they are paid by the government. (But no, you guys seem way cooler than that)
Oh yeah, and also, I'll actually be able to relax, enjoy and watch movies again and be able to laugh at myself of they way I used to look at things or think.. Literally.. with everything. And I'm happy now because I can embrace myself in new ways.

The best thing I could probably do is put in as much effort as some of these conspiracy theorists do to spread awareness into creating some sort of presentation of the facts while sending a good message and spreading it to my closest friends on FB.

I remember someone telling me that society has trip wires built into the brain so that when you hear of any conspiracy, it sets it off and you distract yourself from hearing it, but it's almost like the other way around in this scenario where if you're a true believer you won't even be able to digest this sort of information on here. I've been here before and I remember literally not being able to read this stuff  because I thought what everyone else does, they are spreading disinfo to cover up the truth when it's basically the exact opposite of that. :(

Since changing my beliefs, I've tried openly discussing it in some of the groups that spread awareness on Facebook, but didn't work out so well, I think one person took the time to look at my profile and saw I was being genuine but insisted they've done their research and nothing could change their mind.

The years of being on Facebook I constantly see posts of fellow conspirators complaining about trolls or admins of groups saying how to deal with trolls.. Basically, they would just delete comments and block anyone from going on the page again. Other way around though, I removed myself from a couple of the groups, but I still have access to a lot of information I believe and could help out somewhat. :p
I never understood that stuff, because I had just as many, if not even more friends than most people on there and never saw any kind of trolling whatsoever.

If ya wanna walk this road, ya gotta be okay with being called a "sheeple," "shill," "disinfo agent" etc.,
I've been called a troll so many times, I'm considering moving to under a very nice bridge nearby...

Ya know, there is (IMHO) a certain irony there. My thoughts are that those who promote the "conspiracy" are the ones actually doing the trolling......(EDIT): And "shilling".

Remember the original definition of "shill"?:

noun
  1. 1.
an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

That is the behaviour that makes me strongly suspect that many of the people who run chemtrail groups don't REALLY believe in it. If they had the courage of their convictions and truly believed they had evidence, then why would they delete and block comments from people disagreeing with them? Surely they could just refute any argument with their hard facts and evidence!

The only reason I can think of that they would delete comments is that they don't have an answer, and know they are on shaky ground, and don't want their "flock" to see them exposed.

Would you agree with that, @Chemtrail_Follower?

I was going to say I agree, but not necessary anymore, I think they genuinely believe contrails are Chemtrails, and that anyone who presents the persisting contrail aspect of things in those sorts of groups they probably perceive it as you trying to attack their credibility if that makes sense. Or to take out a pillar in which hold their structure up. But I could see how one could ask those questions just as you did. In a rational person's mind that's all that would probably make sense... Either way it's at least good to have this sort of conversation, it make open up the flood gates a bit (hopefully) for anyone else who comes here at least.

There was a discussion on another thread a while back about conspiracy theorists holding some kind of special "knowledge" which in turn makes them feel "special." Chemtrail_Follower mentioned "sacred knowledge" above, which parallels this notion. I suspect that this may be the thing for some, and not so much because they don't really believe in it.

There is some shaky ground though, and I think that when a skeptic starts asking questions, it directly attacks the belief system that defines them. It's cognitive dissonance, and creates a lot of mental stress. Perhaps it feels better for them to cover it up by deleting disagreeable comments of that nature. Conspiracy theories, I suspect, can actually give certain people a sense of security, even if they are are evidently false.

That is why I said it, I saw that post when I was reading on here the other night and that sort of 'clicked' for me. However, I did feel it to be a burden at times but others it felt sort of empowering in a sickening way.

It's funny because mostly these days people get the word out by ways of memes, and cognitive dissonance gets thrown around there in that way a lot, I think they use it towards their own beliefs though meaning people "can't handle the truth" when it's actually the other way around. Sort of like the old saying "the answer's right under your nose" type thing.

Oh dear!!!! I don't "hover" (**) **translation....Waste my time....that much on current aspects of
Social Media. (I just get MAD at drivers, during my commute, who are TEXTING on their phones, IN their cars....AND
screwing up MY ability to navigate the roads!...But, is OT....).

But indeed, the last image that "says": 'IGNORANCE IS A CHOICE'....spot-on.

The thing about human nature, as it applies to a lot of individuals out there, is that humans don't like the realization that they are wrong about something. People who are unaware that their ego can be flawed will go to great lengths to maintain their rightness. Some conspiracy theorists out there are outright intelligent, and because of this, they won't for a moment accept that anything outside of their own judgement can be wrong--they are the treasury of truth, as they see it.

Cognitive dissonance is a term that can apply, or get thrown out by just about anyone. To really understand it's effects unbiasely though, one has to know themselves, particularly their own limitations.

This expands into the auspices of so-called "Human nature".

THAT IS.....a propensity for "belief" despite all indication to the contrary. A "rejection" of critical thinking (on one level) and on another level, a desire to "Be Included" into a sub-set of a social meme.

Really, this is related (tangentially) to how religions influence Human behavior, but of course this is another topic......

I wonder what kind of responses this will generate. :D

I wonder what kind of responses this will generate.

It's a modern meme. The "vague" fear of something that "might" be happening, known collectively as "geo-engineering".

Actually, it is the vague "fear" of what is suspected as being conducted (not proven in any way as a global concerted effort).

But, a caveat: "Geo-engineering" has been ongoing since the Industrial Revolution (late 1800s), actually. Albeit, by "default".
IOW....Humans who have built dams on rivers....Humans who have deforested wide swaths, for agriculture (or other reasons)...Humans
who have poured concrete to build cities (thus creating localized Solar "heatsinks"), ETC.

(BTW, topic of concrete? An interesting fact: China --- the country --- has in just 3 1/2 years used MORE concrete than the USA did in the last 100 years!!!): Source

I have ignored his posts for a while, he posts like 50 times a day of clouds he thinks are shapeshifting aliens and posts pictures of people he thinks are following him TI's (targeted individuals) call them "perps" or "gang-stalkers"

Probably just best to ignore him. I avoid discussing such obviously distressed people on Metabunk. It can rarely lead to constructive discussion.
