I had not one but 3 "close encounters" with the classic "black triangle" ufos between 2007 and 2008. I don't want to go off-topic with the details of those here in this thread. I'm just trying to offer a bit of insight/speculation regarding your...

Not really. As for the diamond, the lower half would naturally tend to appear darker. But when it comes to the aircraft, I don't think it's quite that simple. In almost all of my photographs, both wings appeared considerably brighter than the...

Thanks Andreas: Didn't Andrew Robinson and others say they believed it was a black and white negative printed on colour paper? IIRC didn't the guy (Stu Little) who claims to have examined all 6 negatives with a loupe say the black dot /darker...

Hard disagree. The most obvious feature on the recreation is the "hatch" (lower right quadrant), and it's not in the original. All of the others are pareidolia, with the exception of the underside being shadowed, and that is the default.

They were not detained at the school but went home at 1pm that day, and were only interviewed at the school beginning on the Monday. IIRC the issue with Harvard was about billing for services and substandard record keeping. But, he also allowed...

In the literature on hypnosis there's quite a lot about the myths of hypnosis. For example no induction procedure is required, it's not "sleep," and does not require the subject to have their eyes closed or be in a "trance". In fact there's no...

I think there's an important distinction between showing that certain interviewing practices are preferable and showing that the Ariel interviews are therefore unreliable. The protocol is designed primarily to maximize accurate recall from...

Just throwing this in here, since while "there is no body of water on that Calvine hillside" (The Guardian - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/11/what-really-happened-in-calvine-the-mystery-behind-the-best-ufo-picture-ever-seen) might be...

I read quite a bit of the literature on interviewing children (which I cite here: https://revue.comitepara.be/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Scepticisme_Scientifique_12_2024_SI.pdf) and their reliability as eyewitnesses. Conclusions from other...

I never go to Reddit tbh... But I just tried and yes, it's translated. So it's Reddit doing the translation and I access Reddit automatically just by looking at the Metabunk thread, through the embedded link? Is this how it works?

Re. part 3 of The Mystorian's take on Ariel School, @25 mins 43 secs in, See Johnny [Mack] doesn't even know this fucking word and he's a doctor. Well I mean he has a doctorate, in psychology, and grifting. No, Mack was a doctor in the most...

I’m sorry to hear that; it sounds miserable. As I’ve gotten older I’ve inherited what my mother calls “panic attacks”. No fear or imagery, just waking up with profound feelings of loss and hopelessness. I think regular life and worries can...

I just don't know how you can argue with a recreation that shows the movements of satellites that match exactly the orbs you saw. I guess by just ignoring it

Too late! Source: https://x.com/GoodTroubleShow/status/2002490026593300908/history I sent a message to Bob, offering to explain the issue before he goes on the show. No need to be spreading misconceptions. The experiencers themselves didn't...
