That's a fair criticism, particularly the distinction between "more evidence" in the loose sense often used in UFO discussions and evidence that genuinely increases the probability of the claim. I think the attached report probably gives a bit...

I've moved Metabunk over to a new server. Hardware specifications are unchanged, but I essentially reinstalled the software from scratch, prioritizing user security. This includes changing SItrec to run from a container. This is a virtual...

Sitrec seems to be working ok. I just recreated the PrimeAir crash at Miami and all seems ok. https://www.metabunk.org/sitrec/?custom=15857/N1997A Crash at Miami Airport/

I also updated the XenForo software that Metabunk runs on (2.3.10 -> 2.3.13). It's not a major update in terms of features (new development on XenForo has been rather slow), but hopefully it fixes more than it breaks.

Broadly agree. I think Craig Lindsey said (somewhere along the line) that the print that The Daily Record sent to him, the photo that we have, was sent as it was the best photo of the object.
  • A
Yeah, I think he claimed so. But it's hard to say whether that's based on anything other than his personal beliefs. Obviously, it would make little sense for the Daily Record to send a copy of the worst frame. But we can't know this for sure. I...

I have become convinced that one of the main efforts necessary to improve public an policy discussions is a "UAP Keys" document. This would be aimed at non-technical viewers of PURSUE material, especially the FMV video (maybe a bit late, but...

I doubt drones in Ukraine show the state of the art, FPV drones will use whatever is cheap and available whilst being just good enough to get the job done and often we are seeing recordings from analogue RF transmission. The state of the art...

IR can be a photograph, it is just a photograph at wavelengths we can't see unaided. And depending on the imaging system (camera) it will often be at a lower resolution than we expect from other cameras (imaging systems). I fact I would say the...
