Correction: "looking for corroborative evidence" is NOT good science, unless they also acknowledge the misses as well as the hits. Did that ever happen? And I had no idea what you later added in your profile. We know that mundane explanations...

Being unable to prove a negative is not significant, though. Of course you can't do that. The significant bitil is the statement that the data does not prove the hypothesis under discussion...

That statement bothers me. If that belief affects us all, if that belief means that (for a real-life current example) our taxpayer money goes toward UFO studies instead of fighting wildfires, then that "entitlement" of one group of believers...
