As part of the second tranche of records released by the DoW, video PR-071 shows a UAP being intercepted by an F-16 near Lake Huron. Because the video was not properly redacted, hidden information can still be read if the video is adjusted...
Is that balloon really small? Like party balloon size. It almost looks like the plane flies through the debris. It looks like the video is zoomed in but you can see the whole HUD, it's just a weird perspective.

We Finally See The Mysterious Object Shot Down By F-16s Over Lake Huron
It was reported to be octagon in shape, but this looks like a literal run of the mill latex party balloon with a...
A video appears in today's Release 2 of UAP files: https://www.war.gov/ufo/?type=.vid#DOW-UAP-PR071-USAF-ANG-F-16C-callsign-CALLSIGN-Shoots-Down-UAP-over-Lake-Huron-with-Weapon-System-12-Feb-2023
Hi @Curiousfi and welcome,
I haven't really got any suggestions. There are some threads here with examples (or possible examples) of spotlights on cloud, but this must be very unlikely for a bright shape at 16:15 over Sydney on a bright day...
I understand the principle of apparent motion at different distances, and also how parallax can affect apparent motion. I agree my speed estimate is near the water, because the main hypothesis for this fast-moving dot is that it is a diving bird...
I don't think you've categorically demonstrated that the object has to be traveling at 100+mph.
Your suggestion is that IF we were looking straight down on the sub from a perfectly perpendicular altitude and the sub is a known 48m in length at...
Um, my impression while watching the video was of a rather slower rate, but I could easily be mistaken. 10 Hz might not rule out birds:
While most birds flap their wings at a rate of 5 to 10 times per second...

I tracked and analyzed the brightness of the object at 45 seconds.
I compared the brightness within a small circle to the brightness of an annulus around the circle. That way if there is brightness variation inherent to panning across the ocean...
In addition to what Mick wrote in post #13, the US Dept. of War webpage (https://www.war.gov/UFO/search/DOW-UAP-PR067/#DOW-UAP-PR067-Multiple-Spherical-UAP-USO-near-Sub-CALLSIGN-20220325-in-and-out-of-water) says the footage
...is likely derived...
Perhaps more interesting than the likely birds, is this comment that goes with the video (bold by me):
On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by...
Contemporary military submarines with a very roughly similar configuration (long essentially cylindrical hull, vertical "fin" or "sail") vary in length.
