The first thing that struck me was "just as a gut reaction, due to the static and the general appearance of the UFO, and such, this looks fake." Of course "this looks fake:" is not a good debunk. But it still looks fake to me! The second and...

Typhoon displayed on the overlay is the name of Ukraine's specialised drone unit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon_Unit_(Ukraine) This company provides balloons/aerostats for a variety of purposes in Ukraine...

Could be lots of things, depending on speed. Farsi Island is an outpost of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and has played a role in conflict in the Persian Gulf, Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farsi_Island. Iran operates drones...

    Doesn't match flare

So is your position that the spiky shape may represent a real spiky object (that happens to be face-on the the camera throughout!) or that it is an optical artifact but is caused caused by something other than diffraction? Or a third position...

Daytime makes the use of illumination flares less likely. But flares are used as IR decoys by military aircraft and naval vessels as and when the need arises. Signal/ distress flares, sometimes deploying a parachute, can be used during daylight...

What is your evidence that these two images were captured from the same platform? Different platforms won't match, as artefacts like diffraction spikes and lens flares are intimately related to the geometry of the optics.

The eight major spikes are, to an extent, the other stuff not so much (such as the extra spike to the left). Even with the "Big 8," I'd argue that the ones at 3 and 9 o'clock are visibly not on the same line, as are the ones at (roughly) 1:45...

Varginha is a typical case in which ufologists connect dots between events that are unrelated until proven otherwise; are biased toward the extraordinary claim, and tend to believe any account they come across that might corroborate their bias...

A few years ago I made a video about various "anomalies" in the photos from the Apollo 7 and Gemini 11 missions, in response to several videos of "UFOs" in those mission. I researched the history of these photos, from storage to scanning. If I'm...

Also, does this frame towards the end of the video show a reflection in the (possible?) gimbal dome of the drone's tail boom structure?

The second one is very symmetrical.
