In terms of applicability to Metabunk, I wonder if more people out looking for UAPs, drones, and Chinese balloons contributes to higher counts. I've been following the AMS for about ten years and reported exactly ONE meteor. If they are getting...

I dislike the author's phrasing. Whatever you accomplish in life, you are "non-gifted" if you have an average IQ. Instead of "gifted and non-gifted adults" they could have said (e.g.) "adults with IQ ≥ 130 and adults with IQ ≈ 100".

The thread 1971 Lake Cote / Lago de Cote UFO Aerial Photo has a post from @jackfrostvc (# 367) which contains a letter from Gene Huff, a sometime associate of Bob Lazar, discussing whether a (claimed) satellite photo of Area 51 shows a flying...

He does have a comment on that: Increased reporting or smartphone adoption. The AMS reporting platform has been mature since 2016–2018. The total event count for Q1 2026 is only marginally above recent years. The anomaly exists only at high...

It's improbable thar direct radiation at the time of the tests was responsible, the inverse square law and (for tests in much of the USSR and in Australia/ the Western Pacific) the shielding effects of the Earth would prevent detectable radiation...

Not if the UFOs arrive a day before the test, something the authors counted as hits.

Ran across this data analysis piece by Mike Hankey for the American Meteor Society: The first quarter of 2026 has produced what appears to be a significant surge in large fireball events. The data, drawn from the AMS database going back to 2011...

You also have to remember that the nuclear paper also claims (based on a somewhat weak correlation, as pointed out in Critical Evaluation of Studies Alleging Evidence for Technosignatures in the POSS1-E Photographic Plates by Watters, et.al.)...
