Her blog says the Travis Walton case inspired the name, though I can't figure out how.

I've got to say, you're not the only one who's been curious about that. Thought about that on and off for the last few years, since coming across the site in relation to the Travis Walton "abduction".

Certainly with cases in the LIZ. In some cases I think skeptics would have to say that some witnesses are confabulating, lying, or hallucinating.

A bit off topic, but have you ever explained why "Three-Dollar Kit"?

What you're describing is really about perception. One person sees the same situation and thinks something anomalous happened, while another sees the mundane explanation as obvious and finds the "anomalous" version overcomplicated or cobbled...

True. The earliest reports are usually brief, mundane, and confused, not dramatic. Nothing like the polished, sensational versions that circulate later. This goes for all the big UFO legends like The Phoenix Lights, Roswell, Tic Tac, and so on...

I know, we've been over this before. I'll just say, and with all due respect and sincerity, I think you project too much of yourself into the situation. Obviously we've never met and don't know each other, but I've read enough of your posts that...

It's not a sign of stupidity or intelligence to be mistaken. Anyone and everyone is at some point. It's simply part of being human. I've been mistaken before thinking Venus was another plane and I have an IQ of 140 and held a CPL(A) at the time...

Slowed down at 25%. In the couple frames during when the object exits the screen, what makes the appearence of instantaneous (or very fast) acceleration is that there is no apparent jump in the background by at least half a FOV, like the object...

Sorry, but that is putting words in mouths and thoughts in heads of those skeptics who take the position that the report was likely generated, at its core, by nothing much, and was based on misperceived normal objects and lights. Nothing about...

Has anyone considered this point? RPOINT to Rate G changes the flight control system from "hold this position/track" to "maneuver at this rate," providing the pilot with more responsive control over the aircraft's physical movement in space...

Is there any sort of actual definition for what is meant by "instantaneous acceleration" in UFO investigating? As opposed to normal, quick acceleration? Or is it just a term that sounds amazingand so it is applied to UFOs to make them seem to...

Ignoring the witness description of how it moved about, and just looking at the pictures as evidence, and especially taking into account the third one where the object is brightly reflecting sunlight, I have a hard time not seeing this: I...

That's really the crux of argument by incredility. Someone shows you something you've not seen before and goes "Incredible, can you believe it? What a scandal!" At that point, it pays to step back and look for data on what is normal. Why are the...
