Fixed That's no moon...

A video posted on Reddit shows a S24 camera doing the "doorframe effect" on a point source just below the full moon.

I wanted to ID the source so I set it up in Sitrec, 15 January 2025, Alabama, 7:09 PM. The moon is not in the view.

So I thought maybe the date from the OP was wrong, and I went into Stellarium, and immediately found a full moon with mars right below it. So that's the point source, mystery solved.

But then I went back to sitrec and look around to find Mars, and it was near Pollux as it should be. But still no moon. It should be right above Mars, to the right of Pollux:

Is there a switch somewhere I'm not finding?

Can you share a link to the Sitrec? Here's my Stellarium and Sitrec for that location and date/time and they seem to agree

Alabama would be CST, not MST

There was a full moon with Mars right below it on the 13th, not the 15th, maybe the date is wrong?

I'm going to mark it as fixed for now. I've made lots of changes to the code, and hopefully it was just a symptom of something I'd temporarily got wrong. Feel free to reopen this if it happens again.
