Assistant issues

I tried to make a switch this morning using the assistant but any typing results in:

Bot: Authentication required to use the chatbot

I tried closing and restarting with the same result.

Try again, and then in the Help menu, click on "Export Debug Log", and then attach that here, or send it to me in a DM.

Well when I went back in it was working fine of course.

Probably. You can always try changing the agent in settings.

Actually, that message means you are not logged into Metabunk on that browser window. Possibly, you were in an incognito/private window. Or had just logged out of Metabunk.

In Sitrec, there's an AI assistant you can bring up with the Tab key.

The assistant is extremely useful. You can say things like "set the location to London and change the time zone to UTC and set the time to last night at 10 PM" and all the manual setup... done!
