Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

Rough Sitch https://www.metabunk.org/sitrec/?custom=https://sitrec.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/1/Syria 2021/20260204_183340.js For some reason I got the video exported at 60fps, so frames reflect that. It's actually at 30, so I'll have to redo a little (no change to the results, I'll just divide...

New Feature Sitrec Coordinates Input: Flexible Lat/Long. MGRS

I've updated Sitrec to handle most coordinate formats, including MGRS (Military Grid). So any of the following formats should work if you paste it in the lookup box. 37S CR 11926 9292332.45836.999 37SCR119269292332.45836.999 37scr119269292332.45836.999 18SUJ233739.169-77.043...

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

It'd treat these numbers with caution. The ELV is fixed at 1725FT. however at that spot it's 3620 ft.

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

Yeah, and it's interesting how much bigger it gets at different gain levels inside a 5M box. I think at most it's 1m wide, and likely half that or less. Small, cold, not really moving much....

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

The weird dark areas can be seen through the video, in particular there's a large dark region we see here centered on the N Later, we see this dip down to the level of the object. With a very similar thing with apparent movement So I think a balloon seems quite likely here, combined with...

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

There's some oddness going on with the gain, and it's not clear what time this oddness happened. Here's is just before the "move". Note how "bright" it is (i.e. colder than the background) A few frames later it's less bright. I've stabilized it on the object. While it seemed like it moved up...

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

Except that it's BLK (black is hot), and this is a cold (white) object.

Syria UAP 2021- Apparent Instantaneous Acceleration

This is the frame where it loses lock. I suspect because of a lack of contrast.

    New Feature Sitrec Notes

Press "N" to toggle the notes view (also at the top of the show/hide menu) Just a simple text box, URLs should be converted to clickable links. It gets saved. I recommend adding in as much info as possible to the text box for later reference. If there's a Metabunk thread, then you can link to it.

    Enigma App

I've seen it. I have not written code for it. I did talk to them when they were first setting it up, as I had some criticism of the questions that were on the form of the web app. It's been out for a while on iPhone https://apps.apple.com/us/app/enigma-whats-that-in-the-sky/id1548371173 I've...

New Feature Rocket tracking using FlightClub Data

Flightclub's "Path Tracker" page allows you to download a file that contains the tracks of the mission. It has upcoming and past missions. https://flightclub.io/path-tracker So just put in any location (I used 55, -100, somewhere in Texas, but I don't think it's important). Then open the...

New Feature Rocket tracking using FlightClub Data

I've lightly updated Sitrec to import both the JSON files you can (theoretically) scrape from the 3D viewer, https://flightclub.io/result/3d?missionId=mis_1oygy1eww You'd want the call to simulation, like: https://api.flightclub.io/v3/simulation?simulationId=sim_jj60s7utu You'd need API access...

I saw that, but it has not been updated for four years, so I didn't think it would be useful.

Weaponized: Triangle Formation UAP in the Persian Gulf

I think it's horizontal FOV, just labeled as FOR. It matches the target area width in relative scale. I've seen similar things labeled FVW (FOV Width) and TWD (Target Width??). Seems like there has been some evolution in the OSD for MQ9 and similar.

New Feature Rocket tracking using FlightClub Data

I don't think so, which is a shame, as that data presumably exists, and is used to display the telemetry on SpaceX launch broadcasts. We could scrape that, but there's no lat/lon

Weaponized: Triangle Formation UAP in the Persian Gulf

Aaro does list things as orbs. Now that's probably based on verbal reports rather than what they see on video. But it is essentially an official classification. If the original reporting party called them orbs, theh that's probably what they would stay classed as, unless resolved. "Dots"...

Weaponized: Triangle Formation UAP in the Persian Gulf

It does get a lock at this point, but it's on what seems to be a wave (the objects continue off screen). The SLR and GDR don't change when it happens. The 14M is, I think, the size of the rectangle indicated by the corners. Which makes the "orbs" at least a bit smaller than 1M.
