This is an interesting twist:

‘Zika Virus Horrific Coverup Caused By Governments Mandating Vaccines’

The outrage over the Zika virus continues to grow as more and more non-mainstream journalist and citizens come forward and call out the atrocity of misinformation. KafkaWinstonWorld’s Youtube channel took the CDC and WHO to task, claiming that the Zika virus is nothing more than a coverup to help push for more vaccine mandates and vaccine production. The entire situation continues to baffle anyone who has any sort of critical thinking ability.

Looks like another cover-up. Tdap vaccine was mandated in Brazil in early 2015. By October/November 2015, there was a sudden explosion of babies born with mycrocephaly

It's unfortunate that not much information exists on this topic. Valid questions that still don't have answers allow conspiracy theories like these to go relatively unchallenged. The theory seems to use the argument that Zika epidemics in the past haven't resulted in huge rises in microcephaly. This is true, but neither has Tdap vaccines ever been associated with such a thing. Tdap for pregnant women is not a new thing, so we would expect to see the two associated in other areas as well. To my knowledge, that has not been shown. Viruses, however, can mutate to become more virulent. This would serve as a more plausible working explanation for the sudden rise in microcephaly cases for now. Whatever the case may turn out to be, Zika certainly is highly correlated with the outbreak, but not all of the information is in yet.

Residence in or travel during pregnancy to areas where Zika virus is circulating was confirmed for all mothers, including women without a history of rash. Twenty-five (74%) infants had severe microcephaly (head circumference >3 SD below the mean for gestational age). Computed tomography scans and transfontanellar cranial ultrasounds showed a consistent pattern of widespread brain calcifications, mainly in the periventricular, parenchymal, and thalamic areas, and in the basal ganglia, and was associated in approximately one third of cases with evidence of cell migration abnormalities (e.g., lissencephaly, pachygyria). Ventricular enlargement secondary to cortical/subcortical atrophy was also frequently reported. Excessive and redundant scalp skin, reported in 11 (31%) cases, also suggests acute intrauterine brain injury, indicating and arrest in cerebral growth, but not in growth of scalp skin. Four (11%) infants had arthrogryposis (congenital contractures), indicative of central or peripheral nervous system involvement (7). All 35 infants in the cohort tested negative for syphilis, toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, and herpes simplex virus infections. CSF samples from all infants enrolled in the cohort were sent to a reference laboratory in Brazil for Zika virus testing; the results are not yet available.

True. and the microcephaly could also be occuring from a combination of factors

I think it's going to be quite a while before they can (if ever) pin it down exactly.

But regarding the tdap (which of course may indeed be a partial factor), i cant find where it's "mandatory" in Brazil. So far the closest i can find is a report October 2014 report that recommends tdap for pregnant women. Granted i didnt translate every word in the PDF, its in Portugese..so if anyone finds anything about mandatory let me know!

Recommendations certainly dont mean that all women have received it*.

And doesn't explain why women that have received Tdap in Brazil ( so far i'm seeing 3 million babies a year born in Brazil and 404 confirmed microcephaly cases) are having healthy babies.

The United States has experienced substantial increases in reported pertussis cases over the past several years. Provisional case counts for 2012 have surpassed the last peak year, 2010, with 41,880 pertussis cases and 14 deaths in infants aged <12 months (2) (CDC, unpublished data, 2012). To reduce this burden, optimizing the current vaccination program and protecting infants who are at highest risk for death are immediate priorities. Since the 2011 ACIP vaccination recommendation, uptake of Tdap among pregnant women has been low; one survey of 1,231 women (August 2011 to April 2012) estimated that only 2.6% of women received Tdap during their recent pregnancy http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6207a4.htm

(note: this was before recommendations for EVERY pregnancy, so that would be reflected somewhat in extremely low statistics)
