The work of Ivo Busko sort of fills that bill: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2603.20407. His goal was to look for similar transients in images shot with a similar telescope and camera at the time and he found some from Hamburg University. These plates... -

I deeply desire to see if there are more plates with similar artifacts, from other stations, that could just prove these defects to be much more common. Sure there has to be some other similar plates in some old archives.
