this makes him look incompetent he should know the cost of taking "extra fuel" and why we don't do that on a whim

Indeed. I'd argue he's well aware of what he's triggering, that's the intent. Besides the hustling, the political maneuvering, the grifting, the search for clicks, views and relevance, at the core is a group of people that seem to hold a...

Yes. But it's not a misleading paraphrase. I think that's legitimate. Loeb does think that AARO doesn't have a valid explanation for these reports, based on what he said.

Unfortunately, I’m currently sitting in our travel trailer/caravan next to a vineyard with very limited internet. Even if I get better service, I fear a day of wine tasting is already scheduled. So, I can’t go back and watch the whole thing...

I have now downloaded and processed 30% of POSS-I plates using Vasco60 pipeline. I decided to build a script to understand the differences between my and MNRAS 2022 final survivor set R. (5,399 rows in MNRAS 2022). Findings were surprising so I...

The subtle (or not so subtle, depending on who you are) difference between "it is unexplained" and "it is inexplicable" can be played upon with some success by promoters of various flavors of Woo. You have to give it a bit of thought to realize...

Toyota's deceptive handling of the safety problems in its vehicles (unintended acceleration that was either caused by Floor Mat Entrapment or Sticky Pedals) from 2009 to 2010 resulted in a record penalty of USD 1.2 billion in 2014. Due to the...

To an extent, I guess. Though assuming every distant light with no details is an alien spaceship does not feel pareidolic to me, strictly speaking. A stronger case could be made that it fuels Bigfootology, Nessieology, and Ghostology.
