I haye trouble believing that the edge of the artifact would be so nicely rounded if that was the case. As with similar theories, a demonstration of how it was done (or existing examples) would go a long way towards supporting that theory.

I keep going back and forth, but for the moment I suspect that Rep. Luna and possibly Rep. Burchett sincerely believe, though that is not incompatible with recognizing that "proof" of a coverup, while not as much fun as finding proof of aliens...
