IIRC isn't this the Allen Carr method of giving up smoking? I seem to remember a chapter about how it's easier to not do something than it is to do something. Worked for me!

Is that true? I would like to see evidence of this, as I am not agreeing with that statement.

That depends a lot on atmospheric conditions, doesn't it? A laser beam attenuates rather quickly if the air is cloudy or dusty. In desert areas it's more likely to be dusty, especially if there's any wind, and massive dust storms have been known...

One more thing that just occured to me. What is it that the two people exploring the disaster hit town, are wearing? It looks like they wearing something like clean room suits, which look rather unsuitable for exploring a town after buildings...

well if youre going into a cave (which i dont think that hole is personally) you would want the venting machine near the entrance to the cave. the real question is how is that circle shaped man going to get into that hole? and if hes not going...

The problem is that lasers are more likely to hit their target, whether they are 100 metres way or 10 kilometres. Several attempts have been made to shoot down 'drones' seen in Denmark and elsewhere, in the mistaken belief they were nearby and...

My impression was that they were already at the negotiating table, that negotiations were in progress.

I noticed that weirdly dark view through those windows last night, especially the arched one at the front. However I held back on commenting on it, as I wasn't certain of the structure immediately behind it, which was hard to make sense of, just...

I think the whole thing is AI, so it's a waste of time to try to identify the components. Else why are this arched window/doorway and the adjacent window pitch black, when it's obvious they open onto a roofless space?

To be honest, I don't understand what the "unless" is supposed to mean. Misidentifying a civilian aircraft and firing on it, even if it doesn't destroy it, is certainly a problem and that's why I believe they've shut down the airspace. They are...

The Iranians already succeeded with popular revolt - in 1979, against the Pahlavi Shahs, for Ayatollah Khomeini. That was a well-prepared popular revolt, with a clear direction, with the population knowing who they were trying to bring in to...

Two problems with the Popular Revolt concept. It depends on a sufficient mass of Iranians disliking the regime more than they dislike the countries that just dropped a few thousand pounds of high explosives into their neighborhoods. The Iranian...
