Cheaper to fire and less likely to hit something you don't intend to. -

It's a side view of a distant plane, with the sun lighting the side of the body. You can't see the wings, and due to the weather conditions there is no contrail. -

When you zoom into your screen real close you can even see the plane's tail on its right end.
