Why CIA is publishing books about Illuminati?

I found some conspiracy claims in Finnish forum and then I had to do some search work to find out if they're speaking truth or not. So here we are, CIA seem to be now a source for some of those Illuminati related things, because their online library contains this book:
Source: https://www.amazon.com/Bloodlines-Illuminati-Fritz-Springmeier/dp/0972792929

A book about bloodlines of Illuminati, written by Fritz Springmeier in CIA online library
https://www.cia.gov/library/abbotta...ingmeier.-.Bloodlines.of.the.Illuminati.R.pdf

Illuminati card game. This seem to be a PDF made from the cuttingedge.org content.
https://www.cia.gov/library/abbotta...Planned.to.Bring.Down.Our.Culture..3.of.5.pdf

The problem is that I cannot find why these texts are in their library for public access. I can figure out some reasons tho why would they have such content, but cannot confirm. Of course conspiracy theories can be a national thread for USA, but because I only have links and I cannot find the files with their own search engine inside CIA library, I cannot confirm anything. Also, for the conspiracy theorists themselves, the fact that you can find such content from CIA, is basically a "fact check" for the content itself. Of course it's not that simple.

the first hint is the URL. it says "library/abbotabad-compund" (ie. osama bin laden)

these are documents that were collected by the cia and for whatever reason added it to their "abbotabad compound file"

basically as things become available to request under the Freedom of Information Act (if they are unclassified), they try to put them on their website so clerks don't have to waste as much time answering FOIA requests.

anyway if you go to your cia link and hold your cursor over the "contact us" bit in the document, you can see who wrote it or what website they obtained it from. In this case it says the website is called "cutting edge.org".

here of course is the main page for all "abbaotabad-compound" materials.
https://www.cia.gov/library/abbottabad-compound/index.html

it says these are materials recovered from the 2011 raid on the compound.
a file download warning says "please understand that this material was seized from a terrorist organization."

External Quote:

In an effort to further enhance public understanding of al-Qa'ida, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on 1 November 2017 released additional materials recovered in the 2 May 2011 raid on Usama Bin Ladin's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Thank you! :) The case seem to be very clear now. Because of my lack of English skills, I didn't understand what that "abbaotabad comboud" was about. I did put it into google translate and obviously didn't get anything meaningful.

Well, it seems like an interesting fact:Terrorist groups cited the content of a conspiracy theory web site , and the CIA has collected the content and post it in its library. It's as if the CIA is directly quoting conspiracy websites.(lol)

Here on Metabunk we quote the looniest of loons all the time. Do you have a problem with us doing that - if so, please elucidate? There's a difference between reporting and promoting.

emmm,To be honest I don't know what do you want to express.I'm just saying the way these conspiracy theories are logged on to the CIA website is interesting.

It's not the CIAs job to determine what is bunk and what is not. Americans own the government and we have a right to know what they found in Osama bin Laden's compound. There are, of course, FOIA exemptions (see example below) but silly stories about the illuminati wouldnt be any different then showing us he had a printout of Dan Brown's The Davinci code.

Article:
With regard to the pornographic material Osama Bin Laden had in his possession at the time of his death, responsive records, should they exist, would be contained in the operational files. The CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C 431, as amended, exempts CIA operational files from search, review, publication, and disclosure requirements of the FOIA. To the extent that this material exists, the CIA would be prohibited by 18 USC Section 1461 from mailing obscene matter.
