What is this electric pink looking UFO that drops some sort of orb out of it after splitting?

Looks a lot like somebody lost a balloon arch, when it breaks one balloon with insufficient helium breaks away?

Looks like one end is well heliumed, the other end is not, and so hangs down... no idea why they would do that, though.

Starting around 10 seconds into the clip it looks really weird. Something seems to fall off the bottom and the top part appears to grow as it separates and folds around.

Here is part I'm talking about slowed down to 25% speed.

I guess it could just be way the thing is twisting around in the wind, if's it balloons, that makes me think it looks like it's growing. Like if it's doing something like this (where the part I drew sticking out the left is actually facing away from the camera and the the part I drew at the top right is actually folded down in line with the bit below it):

It just looks so weird the way it grows I was thinking at first maybe something like an intentional reflection on glass or Pepper's Ghost kind of thing.

The white thing that comes off the very bottom looks consistent with a lightweight object falling through the air, so maybe some kind of weight or decoration like @deirdre showed?

Yes I think it's pretty clear from that slowed-down video that it's just twisted and folded on itself. It looks shorter at first because one section of it is pointing roughly towards the camera so it is foreshortened. As it moves downwards more of its true length becomes visible. You just have to visualise it in three dimensions.

Something like this. Bottom row shows it viewed from 90 degrees clockwise (as defined looking down from above).

The purple section is the bit that "grows".

It was published on yet another Reddit thread 4 years ago:

I found the original video, it is from 11 years ago:
So someone along the line lied about the date of that video and attributed the lie to MUFON.
That sets quite a low bar for the trustworthiness of uncorroborated UFO claims.

2013 - framing the mundane as exotic and mysterious
2024 - framing the mundane as exotic and mysterious
So look on the bright side - at least they are consistent.

Almost a couple of years ago, Mick West replied to Uri Geller after Uri published this same balloon footage:

It's a low resolution cropped partial copy of a video of a string of balloons from nine years ago.

What are you trying to do here Uri? Use some discernment when people send you low quality things like this.

That's gonna leave a mark!

Love Mick's response. Thanks for finding & posting, john.phil.
