Hi everyone
Can anyone work out what my daughter filmed in the sky over Birmingham , England (uk) last night , the video was filmed at 5.38pm 11/11/24

I saw this too, it was a recently launched Starlink satellite train. I know this because I was waiting for an even more recent Starlink train to be visible at 6.15pm and I looked west out my front door at 5.40pm to see if the sky was clear. i noticed a number of 'satellite pairs' moving west to east and then checked the HeavensAbove app on my phone. this showed a dispersed set of Starlink satellites.

So this was nothing more than starlink ? Seemed to me that they moved to make a triangle shape but if the app says there were starlink satellites up there at that moment then that must be what they were I spose , ( the xfiles soundtrack slowly fades to silence )

For reference, there has been a Starlink launch on average every three days recently. It would be strange if anyone outside bortle 8+ who looks up *didn't* see a Starlink train. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Starlink_and_Starshield_launches - the 10 launches #195-204 span the 28-day period Oct 15-Nov 11, and this launch density isn't that unusual, the longer-term average is about one every four days.)

Any 3 points that are not in a straight line form a triangle shape.

That's obvious my friend , i thought I saw them circling into a triangle [...]
