I'm trying to identify a satellite in a video posted on Reddit. It was near Boulder, so I put in 40.015, -105.27, and converted 8.30 PM local on 30/9 to 2:30 AM UTC 1/10, and set the Time zone to MDT. This produces a display showing 2024-09-30 20:30 MDT at the bottom (36 in this case, for reasons below...)
I cannot see anything interesting in the view. Someone then posted a link to Heaven's Above showing there was an ISS pass at that time. I tried everything I could think of, but I cannot see this in sitrec. The link shows it passing over Antares around 20:36:30 local, and looking around that time I simply don't see it. And it would be mag -1.7,
So... is ISS something that has to be turned on somewhere? I see plenty of of SL's about.
