A light in the sky filmed from Telford, speculation was that it was a plane.

Which is essentially the campus of the University of Wolverhampton, I looked around to see if I could find the exact and location and it seems to be here:

A path in the parking lot of a halls of residence

The phone video is zoomed in down the path and we can see the CCTV pole in the foreground

This is this pole from behind, there is no street view position from the place the video was taken unfortunately.

The video looks down the path and the building shown is the one across the road from the entrance

When we load the track file of the flight into Google Earth and go to the time of the video we see that the plane is in the exact right spot, time is in UTC (current UK time is UTC+1 BST)

I am still recovering from nausea of watching the original video (the swaying is just....ugh!).

Nothing to add I guess. At the end of the clip I think the person filming is repositioning by walking a little, is my assumption.

To be fair holding it steady while zoomed as far as those Samsungs go now is very hard.

Agreed.. Also perhaps the system is trying hard to comp the shake? Is that a feature?

I live just a few km from the location in Telford. I might have time to take a photo or two this evening, if someone tells me what's wanted.

Would be fun if you went there and saw a plane making the same approach with landing lights on...

Yesterday evening I dropped by the place identified aas that the video in the OP was recorded and took some photos from what is probably the location the recording was made from.

I was standing at the position of the center of the red X in this image.

These 3 images are taken from the foot/cyclepath that runs along the rear of the halls of residence buildings.

Auto focus caught the metal post in the last pic, so the buildings beyond are a bit blurry, but clear enough to identify them.

Wow, that's amazing! One thing I am waiting for is a "repeatable UFO" situation where I can actually physically go there when the witness is viewing. They are rare though and usually they are Jupiter/Mars/Venus mis-identification but it would be fun to go there and prove it.
