This is really just for entertainment value more than anything - an example of people's ability to invent a narrative that suits their world.

I don't know if anything constructive can be said about it.

Basically the new album is less than revelatory, but that was intentional sabotage.

I was looking for a review of the new Hendrix release and found this interesting comment on Yahoo answers...

Very POOR loose jams on this CD, that is INTENTIONAL. The hype on this release all across the internet is ARTIFICIAL. The handful of moguls who orchestrated this are INTENT on drawing attention to POOR Hendrix jam music to CAUSE the public to conclude Jimi is "OVERRATED" - the point is to dwindle and diminish the influence of Hendrix. What are they doing this for?

This is ALL ABOUT rockprophecy com - the Hendrix asteroid prediction which is now manifesting. I worshipped Hendrix when I was younger, he was other-wordly to me, so I can almost sympathise with the idea. At a later point I had the same reverence for Cobain - he was the new Christ.

The website's a trip.

Whilst searching for info on first use of the term 'rockstar', I came across this...

The OED has the first usage of "rockstar" as 1960:

1960 Billboard 9 May 12/2 Last headliner was a British rock star Emile Ford, but in the last month both Duane Eddy and Johnny Preston have topped weekly bills there.
1966 Chicago Daily Defender 18 Apr. 12/4 Rock star Dionne Warwick..is doing more and more for the civil rights movement.

Sadly for this theory, it would seem that Hendrix was wrong. Asteroid 2004 MN4, or "Apophis", is incredibly unlikely to hit the Earth.

99942 Apophis (pron.: /əˈpɒfɪs/, previously known by its provisional designation 2004 MN4​) is a near-Earth asteroid that caused a brief period of concern in December 2004 because initial observations indicated a probability of up to 2.7% that it would strike the Earth in 2029. Not sure about Jimi's ability to "remote view"- but he certainly was known for consciousness expanding techniques as espoused by Lee :D

If anyone did do any remote view or traveling...I think Jimi would be a good candidate.

Alas, I think the only potential conspiracy with regards to the new album is with his sister Janie and her motivations re Jimi's estate.
 
Won't be the first time they released whatever they could find from someone who was dead. They've done it with Zappa too I think.

I think one of Ed Chiarini's more insane connections is Morgan Freeman is Jimi Hendrix.
