I am seeing a sudden flourish of attacks on the concept of self-ownership all over the Net in forums and comment sections.
I suspect a small part of this recent ideological push is the result of Peter Joseph's new media product http://www.cultureindecline.com .
Interestingly, in this new t-shirt sales venture Joseph responds directly to the criticisms leveled against his previous product Zeitgeist, ...its failure to address the old Economic Calculation Problem.
Joseph's answer? "The ECP ignores the fact that the intelligentsia need to manage people like animals".
That's it ! I did chuckle after I finally sorted through his tedious rhetoric and figured out what the heck he was actually saying.
Fast-forward to 12:00 for the gist of it.
The Mao jacket and his Lenin beard are worth the click.
