So people of the same mind can and do cooperate to take advantage . . . the question is how much do they cooperate and to what extent?All those things are literally true to a certain degree, usually small - they are all things that rich and powerful people have (kind of) done as part of their individual quests for wealth.
But of course what he's saying is just hyperbole, especially in the context of the suggestion that "the Elite" is some kind of homogenous group with a plan.
It's just the rich, trying to get richer. Mostly individually.
So people of the same mind can and do cooperate to take advantage . . . the question is how much do they cooperate and to what extent?
I suspect there is price fixing of commodities, futures, etc . . . orchestrating the same people are on the board of directors of many Fortune 500 Corporations . . . making sure the right people are supported for public office . . . selecting the candidates to key political posts . . . Federal Reserve Chairman, etc. . . .I think more usefully the questions is: what specifically are they doing?
Did not see the NPR presentation . . .There's certainly price fixing. Did you ever see The Informant, based on a true story. The NPR show it was good too:

The question is how much it extends beyond very very tight and careful circles, who do everything they can to insulate themselves from any legal action.
Would, in your view of the world, any of the Supreme Court justices be complicit in any conspiracy? How would that work? How would they benefit?
Personally I think there's so many ways of making money legally, that illegal collusion is rarely going to be explicit.
