Is this a conspiracy theory or a theorem?

Open letter from Jesse Ventura to the elite:

You control our world. You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat. We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you. You’ve liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed. We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence. You’ve stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings. You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions. You’ve profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living. You’ve monopolized our freedom, stripped away our education, and have almost extinguished our flame. We are hit… we are bleeding… but we ain’t got time to bleed. We will bring the giants to their knees and you will witness our revolution! Sincerely,
The Serfs.

I have no comment for this, just an amused smile. I liked Jesse more when he was Governor of Minnesota (and a fairly decent one, I might add).

All those things are literally true to a certain degree, usually small - they are all things that rich and powerful people have (kind of) done as part of their individual quests for wealth.

But of course what he's saying is just hyperbole, especially in the context of the suggestion that "the Elite" is some kind of homogenous group with a plan.

It's just the rich, trying to get richer. Mostly individually.

So people of the same mind can and do cooperate to take advantage . . . the question is how much do they cooperate and to what extent?

I think more usefully the questions is: what specifically are they doing?
I suspect there is price fixing of commodities, futures, etc . . . orchestrating the same people are on the board of directors of many Fortune 500 Corporations . . . making sure the right people are supported for public office . . . selecting the candidates to key political posts . . . Federal Reserve Chairman, etc. . . .

There's certainly price fixing. Did you ever see The Informant, based on a true story. The NPR show it was good too:
http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/168/the-fix-is-in

The question is how much it extends beyond very very tight and careful circles, who do everything they can to insulate themselves from any legal action.

Would, in your view of the world, any of the Supreme Court justices be complicit in any conspiracy? How would that work? How would they benefit?

Personally I think there's so many ways of making money legally, that illegal collusion is rarely going to be explicit.

Did not see the NPR presentation . . .

Good questions . . . Supreme Court Justices are theoretically appointed for life so they can be groomed for years for their positions and once in place can be seen as basically supporting one side primarily and switch positions when strategically necessary like the Health Care decision for example . . . the judicial Manchurian Candidate . . . LoL!!!!

Sure there are several ways to make money but to make real money as in billions . . . I think one has to be already in a small family or fraternity or initiated into an elite group later in life . . . as . . . earn your way in by your extreme abilities, be recognized, agree to cooperate and be given the keys to the kingdom . . .
