What are some helpful internet SEARCH tips for Non-AI ??
Art
Design
Photographs

I have noticed a huge increase of AI-gen results in Google Image Search.
It becomes a special challenge when I am searching for genuine photographs.
I have tried using the search filter tools, but could not find one named "Non-AI" or "digitally manipulated", for example.
Only some images offer more information or an explanation link:

I have also tried adding key words or phrases.
For example, if I enter all this (with quote marks)
"drilling platform" "storm" "photo"
an estimated 40% of images are obvious AI collages.

If I add "nikon" in the search, the results have more camera photos, but not all.

(Android, Chrome App)

I run into the same thing when I'm looking up reference photographs for art. This stuff spreads like mildew, I loathe it.

It's not ideal, but many stock photo sites will have an "exclude AI" filter on their searches. I've found that for Freepik, for example, and there are likely a lot more.

Some stock photo sites don't seem to use AI: hands are a dead giveaway, and I've looked through pages of results and not seen anything funky (aka the wrinkled sausage knots that AI produces for fingers) when I look up photos on Unsplash and pixabay; there are likely a lot more that exclude them.

Yes, looks better. Only difference you have is the word "photogragher" vs "photo" in the search. Demanding that the simple word "photo" be included, could have given me undesired results as it is a broad term, and may return extra hits that use that word in othe ways/descriptors/contexts... like "photo realistic" or even the undesired "AI photo".

Your next example...
"drilling platform" storm -generated seems to work well, too.
....becomes less specific where storm is not requested. It will return images without storm, if it is not demanded.

It seems like the more specific or uncommon or unusual the demanded search terms are (bracketed by quote marks) , the higher the probability of a generated image.

Like tinkertailor said,, maybe I need to find some image bank sites that have specific filters.
Any good photo stocks or repositories ?

You can use "before:" to specify the time before AI

"drilling platform" "storm" "photo" before:2021

However Google's date determination algorithm isn't 100%, so some will get through, and you'll still get human composites.
