This is a conspiracy theory that pops up from time to time. The source seems to be an Eric Berman, aka Eric Orion. Orion has some quite special beliefs these days, a special version of Flat earth, Tesla pyramids, transgender people everywhere, and more

Scherff, Jr., who, Skorzeny explained, was trained as a spy and sent to America to work for Adolph Hitler. "He was given false identification and adopted by Prescott Sheldon Bush as his "son," George Herbert Walker Bush," Skorzeny went on. "He forged a birth certificate in order to enter the military before he turned 18. He was 16 at the time."

This is just a quick AI face comparison using https://www.faceshape.com/face-compare to look into some of the pictures Berman presents. I might not have the time, interest and skill topresent this better.


The crown jewel above is just 640x480 and extremely compressed. I've been in contact to him via email and for some odd reason he refuses to scan it at higher resolution. None of the people purpoted to be in the picture match up significantly Prescott Bush, George H.W Bush, Martin Bormann, Barbara Bush, Otto Skorzeny

Interestingly the man he claims is Skorzeny matches with pictures of this apparently same man as older but then doesn't match as well with real pictures of Skorzeny. In a real picture of Skorzeny from the 60s he looks tanned and ok but in the 70s he's not looking too healthy and seems to have been quite a chainsmoker (smoke in almost every picture). To then go through plastic operation to look quite different and get that scar removed would have been quite a feat.

Remind me how you magically heal scars as an oldie better than you could when you were younger and built up the scar tissue in the first place. Wrong question. Remind me how you can magically replace scar tissue from your youth with unscarred tissue as an oldie.

TBH, I think most of those examples are garbage (his stuff was doing the rounds a few years ago, plenty more examples are out there on teh intarwebz). Two blokes with a cleft chin and a bald head does not a pair of doppelgangers make.

I would say that the algoritm for recognizing the gender and age are separate algoritm from the one comparing face similarity and thus shouldn't be used to judge how well it compares faces. Those could even have been put in just as an afterthought.

Erik Berman seems to have started this in 2006 or so. I dug around archive.org to strive to find as much as possible of his material.Have not seen what others are claiming related to this Skorzeny "deathbed confession".

So clearly there's some serious face shape recognition algoritm magic going on that I'm sure some expert or AI could explain well... Interesting stuff.... Or then faceshape.com is cheating by already knowing who these people are

They're only face shots. When we recognize someone as being male or female, we are usually looking at an entire person. Forensic anatomists, in trying to establish facts about skeletal remains, are more likely to look for the pelvis to determine sex.

I contacted Eric Berman / Orion via mail and asked him multiple times if he could re-scan the photos or even just photograph them with a modern smartphone, but he kept refusing even though I explained to him how important it would be, if his claims are true.

I'm not interested in scanning any photos for you. You don't have to believe me or my photos' but I am telling the truth & my photos' of Otto Skorzeny are authentic. I have written five other books since The Bush Connection & I am busy
with other things now.

According to Wikipedia's article on Curious George, "George's first appearance was as a monkey named "Fifi" in the book Cecily G. and the Nine Monkeys, which was first published in France during 1939 in the late years."

So it seems unlikely that the creation of Curious George was inspired by a mischievous child named George.
