Email from former Connecticut state worker claiming lottery/Sandy Hook connection

This is about a former state worker who thinks there might be connection with multiple state lottery winners and the shooting.
The author doesn't reveal the former worker's name or what agency he worked for, so there's no way this story can be checked. Without knowing who sent the email or the agency he used to work for, there's no way to tell if he would have been in any position to know what he claims he knows.
I tend to think the author of this piece made up the whole thing.

And the sources
http://www.ctlottery.org/Modules/Winners/search.aspx?nm=&tw=0&gm$50,000 on 12/20/13

Mark Mattioli won $100,000 on 9/16/11.

Mark Mattioli's son, James Mattioli, was a victim in the shooting on 12/14/12.

Mark Mattioli won $50,000 on 12/20/13.

Spokeswoman for the lottery is Diane Mattioli.

These basic facts seem to check out, so maybe there is something to a lottery fraud angle as I thought family members of lottery officials couldn't play the lottery? (if they are actually related.) She was a spokesman in 1985 according to the newspaper article, so that apparent conflict of interest may be long gone.
People can win things twice though.

But that's more than likely incidental to any massacre/false flag connection, that's just speculation.

I checked it out. Mark Mattioli did NOT win the lottery 9/16/11, though he did win 12/20/13.
Who were the other supposed 2-time winners? (I downloaded the winner lists so I can compare them)

No it was in the sources link...
09/16/2011 Mark Mattioli Sandy Hook, CT $3,000,000 PLATINUM SPECTACULAR $100,000

I don't see the connection between lottery winnings and any sort of false flag thing at Sandy Hook.
I also tend to think that having the name of the worker, the agency and other details redacted points to the author making it up out of whole cloth.

@Tobes

I imagine reddit as well. maybe email the owner. sure he would remember.

cant be too many departments holding a moment of silence, as the 15th was a Saturday. couldn't be the DOT (snow plows) because he goes on to say he did research for his job. although apparently not property assessment research.

The frustration and cognitive (moral) dissonance of working for a [withheld-department that employed him] which was acting in ways so as to support [changed- term used generally means "immoral"] activity made me feel like a hypocrite

phrasing should help you narrow it down. http://www.ct.gov/ctportal/cwp/view.asp?a=843&q=489944

Berkshire is a pretty big [ ] road, runs pretty much the length of the town . maybe you can google satellite and count the houses. ; ) although mattioli doesn't live on Berkshire. you would have to check them all. here this is easier http://data.visionappraisal.com/NewtownCT/

well considering I found 3 mistakes/omissions without barely looking.... but if you want to debunk then pick an area. you can easily search the ctlottery site to verify or debunk that claim.

and easily verify or debunk his "everybody involved lives on Berkshire road" claim. http://data.visionappraisal.com/NewtownCT/

the overheard convo is a bit more difficult. but the specs make it a lot easier. I don't think Malloy the governor even had a moment of silence on the 15th. I mean maybe in his own private staff thing. you can email his staff and ask if a 'researcher' would ever work on a Saturday.

mrp?
No, it should have come up in the range covered by your search.
oh I see. hmm no idea.

I did some checking on spokesperson for CT lottery in 2013, and Mattioli WAS the spokesperson at that time..see link. http://news.google.com/newspapers?n...djNSAAAAIBAJ&sjid=LTYNAAAAIBAJ&pg=4092,154524

except
that was way back in the 1980's.

there are 74 Mattioli's in Ct now. Diane isn't one of them.

and Diane isn't listed as a relative of Mark.

Plus Mark Mattioli was the one who went to all the legislature sessions [speaking out against gun control]. Hard to envision him as being involved in Obamas plot. or why "Don't tread on me" website is picking on him.

Mark Mattioli, whose six-year-old son James perished inside of the school, testified that a plethora of new gun laws isn’t the answer and that, instead, personal responsibility, accountability and civility are the best path forward. He made his comments as intense debate surrounding gun control and the causal factors behind the shooting continue to be at the forefront of public discussion.
The grieving father, who ended up receiving a standing ovation, said that he believes in “simple, few gun laws” and that there are already “more than enough on the books.” Mattioli contends that “the problem is not gun laws” and that these regulations simply need to be enforced

It still hasn't done anything to dissuade them, though. They just claim it's all a diversion.

So, my comment would be. "So what?" how does this prove anything other than, he was lucky. Multiple Lottery winners ARE NOT ALL THAT RARE. Most people who win, have been playing for a very long time and continue to do so after they win.

Second, again, so what? Does this somehow prove he didn't have a child who perished that day? Does this somehow prove the shooting never happened?

No. It's just the CT'er just attempting to cobble together their narrative based on what THEY perceive to be something more than coincidence. It's wrong, intellectually dishonest and does nothing more than marginalize the lives of those who died and those who tried to help.

I just replied to a family friend on Facebook who buys into Halbig's claims with the Blaze link about Mattoili. I doubt it will change his mind, though.
