I just watched a video debunking Silverstein's use of the phrase "pull it" claiming that he meant "pull people out of the building."

Larry Silverstein: "We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse."

However, here is a worker using the same phrase to describe demolishing a building.

Worker: "... we're getting ready to pull the building six. We have to be very careful about how we demolish building six."

He was talking about pulling 6 down in the literal sense. As in, they had cables attached to it and were going to pull on them with heavy equipment until the building fell (it didn't even sound like they were too sure it would work to me). I haven't heard anyone suggest that cables were attached to 7 and pulled on until it collapsed (it may be a theory though).

And the term "pull" has more than one use.
