Witness report:
My wife and I had just stepped out of our condo when we observed lights hovering in the sky, in a V shape formation. The lights were glowing and would turn off and on, reappearing elsewhere in the sky. I managed to obtain video and a still shot of the objects using my cell phone. Attached is a video of what we observed along with a still shot. According to social media, news outlets were reporting that these objects were being seen all over Florida for the past 1-2 hours, prior to my wife and I seeing them. I am a retired 30 year Police Officer and have served in 2 branches of the military. I know what I saw…..and have never seen anything like this before.

Looks kinda like parachutists with flares to me... what evidence can we find to confirm this?

Top YT comment says there were skydivers with flares for the memorial day concert at Daytona International Speedway. Could really do with a time to look for the drop plane on ADS-B exchange.

WSITD: "DEVILS" with a stylised 'v' to look like a devils head, possibly the local ice hockey stadium?

Edit: there are *lots* of "Devils" in Daytona, but I can't connect it to ice hockey any more. But I think it's a possible lead.

They're not "hovering" (as the photographer comments) they're conspicuously descending, in agreement with the parachutist hypothesis. Occlusion of a light at times by the body of the diver, or perhaps by a parachute as they perform stunts.

I used it to search for shops in Daytona that ended LS, I just hijacked someone else query from a google search, I'm sure I could got there quicker with better querying.

Knowing what you saw and understanding what you saw can be 2 separate things.

I'm not going to try to assign motivation to someone, but the description ticks all the UFOlolgy check boxes and it was uploaded to a
UFO YouTube channel it appears. A channel looking for PayPal donations I might add:

And Cmdr Fravor is a fighter pilot.
He had to have known what he was looking at. If so then he is purposely being deceptive. Everyone is just looking for clicks on YouTube and social media. Truth and facts don't matter. Also he stops the video prematurely so you won't see the "hovering" objects actually descend like a parachute. The video debunks itself.

A bit off topic, but as others on here, I've wondered about the motives of people that post these things. If I saw something I couldn't figure out I would like to think I would post it as such: " Saw this and can't figure it out, any ideas?"

I think some of these people are looking for clicks and others just totally believe anything in the sky is alien.

He may not have known exactly what he was seeing, I've had that experience, but then he seems to jump straight to aliens/UFO, rather than trying to find a more mundane explanation.

I think the first person to program a natural language interface for Overpass Turbo is going to be able to retire off of it. Something that will give you a result for "show me all fast food restaurants over 10 metres tall in a special economic zone and at least 10 miles from a brick viaduct but within 1000 metres of a baby_hatch ()" would be ace for example...
