Those who use the non-default theme (I use the light-on-dark 'Blackend' one) can be scuppered by this feature.Noooo......!!! ️️
I think I removed the color option a year or two ago, as it was getting somewhat abused. We'll see...
OK, how did you do this magic thing?
OK, but I promise never to do this silly nonsense again. . .
You could do linked footnotes manually with the ANCHOR tag [SUP][ANCHOR=MICK1][1][/ANCHOR][SUP]
You create the anchor in the text next to the footnote, then use it as an option in another anchor tag to make a link (with optional SUP)
[ANCHOR]MICK1[/ANCHOR] 1 - The footnote
You can also use this for tables of contents in a longer post.
Well, you typed 3 characters where I typed one, so I don't really see how yours is easierOr even easier. (1)
(1) See? ^_^
I saved time i would have used figuring out how to do what you did!so I don't really see how yours is easier

Or whether the straps go face up or down on a sand anchor, or which way to adjust the bridles when the wind gets stronger. We all have different skill sets and areas of expertise! ^_^Perhaps he doesn't when to switch from a Bull-float to a Fresno on a concrete job.
and that don't go "poof" when you mark and replyAs always, thanks for keeping Metabunk up and running. For the wish list, still would be nice to have the old External Content boxes back with the offset color.
BB codes are actually kind of old-fashioned. The techniques used on boards like this predate social media.Good Lord! I feel so "OK Boomer" when I try to read this gibberish. Then again, Mick seems to have as much grey about the temples as I do so maybe it's just different career paths
well at least you have a better idea now how laughable it is when you say things like "There's nothing fishy going on with my sitrec code, it's open source so people can check it themselves". If @NorCal Dave thinks html code is gibberish, what word is left to use to describe the sitrec code!BB codes are actually kind of old-fashioned. Or when to use cobalt blue and when to use cerulean instead. Or when it's time to switch from a hog-bristle brush to a sable. Or, more to the point, when it's time to concern yourself with facts rather than play around with being a type-setter.Or whether the straps go face up or down on a sand anchor, or which way to adjust the bridles when the wind gets stronger. Sure, but you could have a high school nerd check it. The new XenForo had built-in dark mode, so I enabled that ... and it broke everything.Did the formatting of this website just go insane for everybody or is it just me?
Ah ya gotta love when a "simple" update breaks everything! I've been there with my day jobThe new XenForo had built-in dark mode, so I enabled that ... and it broke everything.
Confirmed back to normal for meIt's fixed now, it was just messed up for about ten minutes
You can't be messed up for TEN MINUTES, man, we're watching ALL THE TIME!!!!!It's fixed now, it was just messed up for about ten minutes
I noticed that, too.i'm sure this must has been brought up before, but as a newbie it seems strange and a bit messy how there are so many different ufo related forums?
Not sure if this would be harder or easier. but another option for that sort of searchability would be, in addition to Search having the option to search the whole site, or "this forum," or "this thread," to be able to select which fora to search, or which threads to search. An advantage to have all ufo reports "under one roof" is that site search can be limited to a particular forum to get more relevant results. Obviously this doesn't work when what I'm looking for could be in any of 3 forums.
You can do that under Advanced Search -> Search Thread, and then select what forums you want to search in the "Search in Forums" (Cmd-Click or Ctrl-Click them)Not sure if this would be harder or easier. but another option for that sort of searchability would be, in addition to Search having the option to search the whole site, or "this forum," or "this thread," to be able to select which fora to search, or which threads to search.
If that is impossible or really a pain in the ***, then disregard!
