Apparition caught on camera - The Conjuring House

Famous YouTubers Sam & Colby, go to so call 'haunted' houses and document (VLOG) their experiences while they stay the night.

During a stay at the well known Conjuring house they experience issues with their equipment and while this happens an apparition appears in the background.

This of course adds some theatre to their video.

Below is the YouTube video:

The apparition appears @127.31 min, I have edited and attached a copy of when it comes into the picture and goes out.

It very much looks like it has been edited in (CGI) however without the raw footage it is difficult to say. My alternative thought was it is a reflection. Would be good to get an analysis from others...

The apparition appears @127.31 min,
Looking at the video as linked-to,
[(https://www.youtube.) com/watch?v=jlzuDOAUId4; sorry, can't bear to look at their silly promotional YouTube image again],

...I can't see the head (if it's a head) that's visible popping up above floor level, behind the open door, that's visible in the OP attachment,
as seen in these screengrabs:

(If it's the face of a deceased person, it looks nicely perfused- rather more pink than the average corpse).

I took the following screengrabs from the main video between 127 minutes 31 seconds and 33 seconds in.
They are in sequential order, but I don't have the means to make intervals less than 1 sec. of equal length, click to enlarge:

Expanding those images, we get these:

Notice that the film (well, the attachment) fortuitously captures the spooky head's movement through an open door behind the speaker.

By complete coincidence, last night I watched Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel via Tubi, which uses exactly the same technique to spook viewers- a character doing the filming for a group of friends exploring a haunted hotel doesn't notice a ghoul walking past an open door behind his friend who he's filming.

Of course, if Sam and Colby routinely posted films of their overnight stays in "haunted" locations in which nothing happened, they probably wouldn't get many views.

Their shows- and their income- depend on views, which in turn depends on how entertaining they are.
There are similar "Most Haunted..." -type shows from mainstream production companies, broadcast by traditional media around the world. None has found a single location where "ghostly" phenomena can be repeatedly documented (although they often claim otherwise, relying on anecdotes).

Personally, I think such shows (including on e.g. YouTube) should have some sort of disclaimer or maybe a DOG (digital on-screen graphic) saying "For entertainment purposes only" or something similar, but I realise the horse has already bolted on this one, for the foreseeable future at least.

It very much looks like it has been edited in (CGI) however without the raw footage it is difficult to say. My alternative thought was it is a reflection. Would be good to get an analysis from others...

It's pretty clear that the 'ghost' appears as the guy on the left moves backwards into the frame. That guy has a huge amount of reflection off him and starts out quite near to the camera where he is obscuring a lot of that light from getting to the rest of the room. I don't think it is CGI...I think we are simply seeing the guy's motion affect the shadows and lighting and that as he steps back there is more light across the room and that generates a shadow off something that naturally appears to move because the guy is moving.

Thus your smaller 'attachment' sort of misses out the most important and salient factor....as does anyone who is focusing solely on the 'ghost' and not on the wider context and the quite apparent and obvious changes in brightness and shadows in the room.

I'd love a more difficult case to explain !

But of course they do. Isn't that an essential (and very convenient) part of every ghost narrative? ;)

Just me, but I think @deirdre and @MonkeeSage nailed it. Given that this is what the house looks like where they were filming:

And in their other title page that deirdre saved we see the left door opened so that the edge of the door is facing us:

The same door is in almost the same position with the edge facing us in the scene right before the "apparition" appears:

They engage in a lot of jump cuts, but right after the "apparition" as the dark-haired guy moves off camera again, one can see the open door to the basement:

It's just some dude pooping EDIT: popping up from the basement and then ducking back down.
