120° Parhelia

As the upper air moisture was building for our next storm in the Central Valley of California, I first caught some normal sundogs, then I noticed the glow of the 120° parhelion over my right shoulder, the second one to the north was very faint, but it was there (4th photo). 11:45 am PST, Jan. 3, 2017, Bakersfield, CA.DSCF1484.JPG DSCF1485.JPG DSCF1486.JPG DSCF1491.JPG

Very nice. Those are pretty rare, I've only seen them maybe twice here, and never in Los Angeles. This was a panorama I took on 2015-09-27. I made people come out and look at them, they were not qute as excited as I was :)

I need a fish-eye lens, in case I ever see another of these.
