‘Whistleblower’ video: “The TRUTH about chemtrails from pilots” (Richard Vobe)

1 hour video, posted mid June 2024, presenting the anecdotal accounts and theories of two self-professed pilots, covering almost all of the current claims about the chemtrail conspiracy theory.

I'd be interested to know whether it can be concluded that they are/have been pilots, or if any of the professional details they give are actually incorrect, suggesting otherwise.

Among a wide range of others in the video, as a qualified meteorologist the claims presented about the capabilities of HAARP are especially absurd; altering the course of the jet stream by design to collect more water en route, then drop it specifically over Europe.

The claims about the mechanics of the conspiracy (such as the 'roll-on-roll-off" spray units) were at least interesting, but almost all of the claims asserted here have been debunked across several detailed threads on the forum, if not also over on ContrailScience too.

I'm not familiar with this Vobes chap, but unfortunately listening to the tangential assumptions dropped throughout, he seems also to be an antivaxxer/covid denier.

I used to watch some of Richard Vobes's videos as 'the Bald Explorer', which were mainly gentle potterings around picturesque towns and villages in southern England, but I was put off by his increasing tendency to digress into political rants along the lines of Nigel Farage. He has an idealised conception of rural 'olde England', which he would like to get back to, provided of course he is not one of the yokels doing all the work.

As I see it Vobe simply repeats conspiracy theories back to his followers.
He puts his finger up to the wind and upon finding out what's playing well in ConspiracyWorld repeats it back to the gullible. He on the chemtrails thing right now.

Months ago Vobes endorsed the actions of convicted rapist and registered sex offender Sean Parker*. But he's hit a new low in the full throated endorsement of Thomas Williams' "A New Blueprint for Humanity"**, saying "[It makes] a lot of sense, to me, basically common sense a lot of critical thinking and actually stuff that you and I most likely would agree with." "It's all alright". "[it's] starting fresh with a common sense approach".

The blueprint looks like Mein Kampf and Das Kapital had a baby and, in effect, calls for the suspension of the U.S. Constitution, including the Bill of Rights and the English Bill of Rights.

Vobes endorses the warrantless mass arrests of those deemed undesirable. Vobes is fine with the confiscation of private property and the wholesale dismantling of the business sector.

Inexplicably, Vobes' has no problem with the blueprint's plan to re-institute crimes of the blood by sending entire families into permanent exile.

Parts of the plan also trash the right to speak freely and associate freely. The plan would shut down charitable foundations, restrict our freedom of religion by auditing churches, arrest the mainstream media (through what is called the "disclaimer program") and decimate the medical profession.

We should not be surprised at this considering Vobes' history of frequent unhinged rants calling for the end of our freedoms!

I think I've heard of the guy, I may have been pointed in the direction of a video or two. I just scrolled down his youtube video list to find something that sounded from its title[*] as if it was addressing something scientific, so I could evaluate his rigour, and in the 10 minutes of my life that I will never get back, at no point did that video even contain a sensible claim more specific than "5G is *dangerous*", which barely warrants being label a "claim", let alone any evidence. So he looks like he's just a full time "old man shouts at cloud" kinda guy, with clearly zero scientific, or any other, rigour. I say "sensible claim" above as there were more specific things that were hopefully said in jest, like "make your brain explode" (may be paraphrase, there were plenty of silly things). But maybe that *is* his thesis regarding 5G, and he's completely off the scale.

Is it just me - presentation-wise, I find him very similar to Russell Brand, just with an extra couple of decades on him. Many of their talking points overlap too, of course.

(* The vid was "Danger Lethal Radiation", yt id: _MNj7o1f2qw, but don't waste your time on it.)

Thanks for the reply, FatPhil. In the subculture Vobes has joined once a thing is accepted as true no proof is needed. Neither is there any re-examination of that so called proof. In this case Vobes has no concern about the liberties the "Blueprint" would trample. I suspect he had a little truther's wet dream about all the people, families and businesses the plan would destroy. Neither did he care that centuries of law would need to be flushed down the toilet to put the plan in place.

I suspect this is the same train of thought he rode regarding the chemtrails issue. All he wanted was material for his YouTube channel. . .proof be damned.

Possibly, but I think you were on firmer ground commenting on what he says and does than on what his motives are.
I hear ya'. However, my experience is that Vobes has no trouble advocating contradictory ideas. When one adds in his practice of slavishly following conspiracy theory trends one suspects there is no there, there.

In this case, after his constant arguing for jury trials and freedom of speech he openly endorses a "blueprint" that calls for the extrajudicial exiling of entire families and the closing of media outlets without anything close to due process.

I don't want to say too much publicly on this forum, but I do know who the two "pilots" in this video are.

The first one, who calls himself "Yves", is the same pilot who did this video with David Cartland (an anti-vax doctor in the UK) in 2023. In that video he appears pixelated, and with a disguised voice. You can hear the same talking points and the same vocal mannerisms.

Back in April he did a Zoom Q&A session with the man calling himself "Russ" in the Vobes video. This was organised by a Facebook and Telegram group called "Look up!'. The recording is here. In this video, "Yves" calls himself "James" and "Russ" calls himself "Mac".

Yves/James really is/was a British commercial pilot with 25 years' experience with a UK airline which is no longer in operation. I am not sure if he is still flying commercially but he does claim to be flying business jets now.

Russ/Mac has never been a commercial pilot but was involved with a flying club, aerial displays etc, and I believe holds or did hold a private pilot's licence.

Their details have been shared with the UK Civil Aviation Authority, and the companies they have publicly accused.

But all we want is transparency!
Well according to his LinkedIn profile he has flown Airbus A321, Boeing 767 and 757, with over 16,000 hours flying time and more than 12,000 in command. Quite worrying that someone with that history can fall down the chemtrail rabbit hole, but there are an awful lot of pilots out there, so statistically a few of them will be susceptible.

I have been in contact with another pilot who shared a flight deck with him some years ago, and he apparently already has some slightly fringe beliefs back then.

I'm pretty sure that naming him would go against forum rules!
