    Is this a Chinese spy balloon?

    Re: maneuverability, with sufficient processing power you can simply alter altitude to move into a different stream of air (without external direction). This is a problem Alphabet moonshotted with Loon; https://x.company/projects/loon/#...

    Claim: 757s cant dump fuel. (True)

    SFO hangs over the water one end doesn't it, maybe the runway length played a part too.

    So what's with the burn-off? Simply preferable to land light due to the issue, or protocols, or..?

    ...This would have been much faster if it were an R or an F or something :)

    Twin-boom.. thing.. over Oxfordshire UK

    As I'm finding out! It was low to the horizon and I see plenty of airline traffic, small aircraft and birds through the same window. The only things that travel at that approx speed and of that apparent size are the small aircraft and choppers so I guess this novel shape went into that category...

    Twin-boom.. thing.. over Oxfordshire UK

    It seemed far too large for a rogue letter, like after seeing the tether I thought it was part of a bouncy castle, that large. A gif suggests it turned to the right rather than heading in a straight line;

    It's a 200mm lens btw, full zoom. The object was approx the size of a biro's width, at arms' length. The final photo through the trees shows the size best, as this was at a good distance vs the tree 100ft away.

    Twin-boom.. thing.. over Oxfordshire UK

    Around 1417BST, facing WSW 240deg from approx. 51.82,-0.85 - corner of my eye I see what initial instinct was a parasail, but not quite right for that. No sound. It was moving in a constant direction of approx 300deg. Altitude and speed hard to gauge because I had little idea what size it was...

    Debunked: Triton Artificial Gills (Indigogo Campaign)

    Doing some google-fu suggests the phrase "Coming soon on IndieGogo" didn't appear on the site at all before March 6th this year, and the other 87 projects with that landing page/URL style all appear to have never fully launched on IGG...

    Tip Vorticies - frequency by aircraft?

    The MD-80 appears to have a trailing fairing for the navigation light there too, which might act as an improvised vortex generator;

    Claim: Ted Cruz's Father Involved in Kennedy Assassination

    From Gerald Posner's book Case Closed via the WSJ: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/05/03/the-50-year-old-mystery-behind-that-photo-of-lee-harvey-oswald/ The two men were apparently approached by Oswald at the Louisiana State Employment Commission and offered a few...

    Fontus - self-filling water bottle (indiegogo scam campaign?)

    I *believe* IGG's intention for the slightly strange way the main body content is loaded is to thwart scraper sites, who otherwise copy and repost that content to try and gain search engine traffic. While looking for alternate archives I found dozens of scraper sites even so. So, 1) I wouldn't...
