Debunking Humor...

Darksky is a great site for very local short term weather forecast. They've added what looks like a working Flat Earth version.

Don't be an APRIL FOOL!
The Weather PROVES the Earth Is Flat!

Temperature Proves Flat Earth...
The "Globe" theory can't explain why the poles are colder than the equator! The Earth gets its heat from the sun's rays. And on a globe, the sun should be the same size and brightness no matter where you are. In fact, areas near the poles get more daylight during the summer, so they should be hotter than the equator, according to "conventional" "science"! Only the Flat Earth can explain the cold "poles": they're further away from the path of the sun as it flies a mere 3000 miles above the surface of the Earth.

Wind Patterns Prove Flat Earth...
As the Sun moves above the Flat Earth, it heats and expands the air. This creates opposing swirl patterns on either side of the equator, much like the wake of a boat on the water. This causes storms to swirl counter-clockwise in the northern "hemisphere" and clockwise in the southern "hemisphere". So-called "scientists" will try to convince you that this is really caused by the "Coriolis Effect" on a round Earth... but do you really trust a force that you can't SEE or FEEL?

Precipitation Proves Flat Earth...
Notice how storms elongate and stretch out near the edges of the Flat Earth? This is caused by the Giant Ice Wall that rings our world and separates us from the realm of the Reptillian Overlords beyond. A "Round Earth" can't explain that!

Of course it's just a reprojection of this:

Those Captcha programs many forums seem to use these days to eliminate bots are very annoying, although sometimes they can be useful debunking tools

Nice!
Not just my work, of course. Lots of people did the "little geometry" there.

yes i must give thanks as for years at school my poor math and physic teachers tried to explain to me the use, need or any benefits of Sine Cos and Tan and in one short vidio you and others showed how these mathematical functions are applied to answer question of range & distance

NEW YORK—Parenting magazine released its annual list of the best and worst places to raise a child this week, once again naming the Mariana Trench—an undersea chasm located 36,000 feet beneath the western Pacific Ocean—as the least desirable location for rearing children.

The periodical’s staff reportedly selected amongst thousands of locations, weighing a diverse range of criteria such as living costs, air quality, and local amenities, categories for which the pitch-black, silt-covered abyss unanimously received an “F” rating.

But Investment magazine, named the same location as "best place" to hide valuable stolen artworks, UFO bases, , as well as lost ship treasures, or body parts.

According to the magazine, competition for the worst spot in the rankings was particularly fierce this year, with the Mariana Trench competing with locations as far-ranging as Mt. Everest, an industrial slaughterhouse, an iceberg drifting in the Arctic, St. Louis, and the cone of Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano.

I love The Onion.

Me too

In this era of “fake news”, it’s refreshing to finally see some honest reporting.

Clearly, if it were a swallow, it would be laden with a coconut. That begs the question, from the upper part of the shirt, as to what is the average airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

"studies" does not necessarily equal "fact". esp. those types of studies. once you read the details, their methodology is often flawed or the results are about for example just college aged people. you would need to look at study size, methodology, look for comorbid factors that might be effecting that particular study group. etc.

just saying. i get the joke and it's cute, i just dont want people to reading to get the impression that if they can produce 2 "studies" that means their claim is a fact :)
