I'm only 35 minutes in. It's odd. The very first thing that leaps out is why the...
In theory there might be a difference, as in a normal full-frame image with nominally rectilinear projection there's a stretching of the image towards the center I mean the edges!!!. If you stabilize it then there's a new center of the image, so...
It the Digital Image Stabilization used in video recording. Notice how when you switch from photo to video mode the image is cropped. That's giving the software sufficient space to move the image around after the sensor has recorded it...
Taking the first 13 frames of the radar screenshots (in attached powerpoint), aligning them with the VORs. The white dots are the new radar position. The green line is my recreated path from 2017. I was so close!

I'm revisiting this six years later, as I finall got around to putting it into Sitrec, and on Twitter it was pointed out that it does not line up exactly with this radar image. Specifically the angles.
At 16:52:38, Sitrec gives a tail angle of...
It's somewhat related to the destabilized sensor reflection, but I think it would have half the anti-stabilization (i.e. it's reflecting the full stabilization shift, rather than double)...
I suspect it's a stuck pixel on the sensor, and the image stabilization is making it move.
Try taking another video of a similar scene (backlit, dark), and see if it shows up again.
It's at 5:40 in the JRE clip posted above my comment. Exact quote from George Knapp:

Added a simple UI for adjusting the start date/time of the video. Useful because often the start time of the video is uncertain - maybe given vaguely, or suspected inaccuracies, or unknown timezone. This was we can just adjust until we find a...
