I feel that this particular person has had a claim attached to them that is fallacious and has spread to all sorts of people with active imaginations.

Claim: Li Ching-Yuen lived to be 256 years old.

Wikipedia makes a mention of this (they mention it only as a claim, not as something actually happened with references) and it can be found on various sites that use this claim for whatever reasons (pushing herbal products, for example, since he was said to be an herbalist).

Li Ching-Yuen or Li Ching-Yun (simplified Chinese: 李清云; traditional Chinese: 李清雲;pinyin: Lǐ Qīngyún; died May 6, 1933) was aChinese herbalist who supposedly lived to be over 256 years old. He claimed to be born in 1736, while disputed records suggest 1677. Both alleged lifespans of 197 and 256 years far exceed the longest confirmed lifespan of 122 years and 164 days of the French womanJeanne Calment. His true date of birth was never determined. He was reported to be an herbalist, martial artist, and tactical advisor.

I just wanted some thoughts and opinions on this guy; the claim that he lived to be 256 (or 197) is obviously bunk.
