In my home town one friend lives in a gated community and lots of neighbors claim to have seen the ghost of a little girl, until one night it was caught on the security cameras.

Below is the video in Youtube

I was at a party in the area so I decide to talk go the gard, he explained to me he has seen the girl at least 5 times in 3 diferent places. I saw the video security set up but nothing looks weird or tampered. The facts that this event has been kept low profile and no one is using it to gain fame or monetary compensation calls my attention.

I think is fake but not sure how it was created it and why if so little attention

The lighting conditions are very weird because there is a patch of shadow from which the figure emerges that has a brightly lit background. We don't tend to see that hole (maybe unless you did theatre lighting, there can be dark spots on the stage that you never notice until an actor decides to move there).

We are left wondering why the bright patch at the bottom left of the last bush in the row is never obstructed. Now note that this is not survey camera footage, but rather smartphone footage off a survey screen. If that screen shows the same picture for extended periods of time, the bright spot could be "burned" into it, or the survey camera sensor, depending on technology, and that would prevent the obscuration that we expect, and also create the semi-translucent appearance.

it is completely obstructed as he walks out from the bushes/trees

and then as he starts walking back in at :48, the corner of the triangle is originally obstructed, but then the whole figure fades to nothing really
    ghost1.

which, i hate to say it, makes me think the GhostApp was used. Although certainly camera glitches are a possiblility since camera aren't my strong suit.. kinda like "Anderson Cooper's disappearing nose" ??

I'm leaning toward the Ghost app so far, as my question is why is a ghost obscuring the light triangle at all? unless he moved into the bush really quickly and it is a low frame rate camera ?? *which.. it's a pretty lame (bad resolution) camera for a security gate considering you probably want to be able to record license plates etc.

@deirdre I think Ghostapp is unlikely. The handheld camera is shaky, it would be hard to add a ghost to the security monitor, unless it was already on there. We'd have to assume an intentional, sophisticated fake/prank to make that happen. My "burn-in" hypothesis would work exactly like GhostApp would, but unintentionally.

I have rewatched the footage a few times, I agree we can see the ghost stepping out of the bushes, and one time I also saw it stepping back in. I think we are seeing an optical illusion, caused by a play of the light, that could easily be debunked in situ by having a white-clad person do the same movement under the same lighting conditions (lamps, moonlight etc).

I would also expect that when they replace the camera system with a newer, better model, the ghost girl will be gone forever.

i'm assuming that is a tv set. although i guess there is a way to save monitor footage. ?? i mean i'm assuming the video is not live, what are the chances a ghost appears while you're waiting to film :)

yes, they may be reviewing saved footage. 0:22 shows what looks like a second camera image above.

This looks like an infrared surveillance camera from a mounted position (I mean the screen, not the smartphone). You’ve seen these all over. It’s a camera that’s sensitive to visible and near infrared. The camera lens is surrounded by a ring of infrared IR emitters. When the figure moves to the right and vanishes, it’s stepping out of the emitter cone. No more IR. When it steps back into the cone, it reappears.

When I used one of these for household surveillance, it would pick up ghost animals. They would suddenly appear and disappear as they walked from the ambient (visible light, invisible raccoon) into the IR cone. The best explanation I could come up with is that the image processing system favored visible light when determining what to render into the frame. Makes a lot of sense in daylight. It’s the same lens for both daylight and night so the processing is key.

Just stuff like, what's that? Looks like a person. Then I think I hear the word "skirt".
