Debunking Humor...

This video has North Korea’s Kim Jong Un piping mad. It has recently gone viral in China, and the dictator is not laughing about it. He has, in fact, demanded that it be taken down. Just one problem: once a video sees this kind of virility, it is just about near impossible for it to be removed from the world.

The rocket launch (2:27) is the best part.

"IF" only people in North Korea...or the so-called "People's Democratic Republic" (GAG me with a spoon!!!) had access to the Internet.....

eta...this "might" be where "OMG!" originated....though, I cannot attribute it to this specific song or time-frame......(I.E.....the 1980s).....

eta (part deux)....funny stuff, all of it....but Maybey (and THAT is intentional, AND some might get the reference(???) ). Crossing "streams" here....trying to be clever.

Failing. Mixed metaphors, I think.

Ref #1 was "Arrested Development" (One of my ALL-time faves)

Ref #2 was ...of course....do I have to say? "GhostBusters"

Let's be careful not to "knock" or "taunt" true believers too much. I don't believe that is our intent here.

Note to "true believers".....this is a place in the forum where we are just having fun, and perhaps let-go of some light-heated ironies.....and is part of the nature of comedy.

Humor is dependent upon the perceiver having a way to "objectify the situation." In other words, we often laugh at things that we have experienced or been guilty of, but we laugh when we gain a bit of distance from the behavior. We disassociate ourselves for a moment and step back to see the behavior for what it is--incongruous, funny.

This guy breaks down video games into odd and often twisted theories.
Here he uses Zelda to humorously debunk some myths about colloidal silver, wheat grass and power wrist bands.

LOL... yes its a satire site (from what I can tell) but the fact that its SOOOO hard to tell makes it both scary and hilarious at the same time.

I'm a "militant atheist" and I will sue!!! SUE!, I tells ya!!! SUE! SUE!! SUE!!!

Oh wait.....what were we talking about? <SQUIRREL!!!>!! I see a squirrel!! (Rushes off-screen....).........

OK.....Now, Three guys walk into a bar and....(oh, you've heard this one already? OK....)

A limerick, then? Allright:

There once was man from Hodge
who had seatbelts installed in his Dodge.

He strapped his date in and committed a sin
without ever leaving the garage.

(this is the "humor"...or "humour" section....right?)

(ETA): The limerick, above, is not mine. It comes from a film....which depicted a dystopian "future". Hence, it is relevant as a "de-bunk" because....that dystopian "future" has not happened....(YET!).

The movie was written by Harlan Ellison, and is titled "A Boy and His Dog". To me, an overlooked possible "Cult Classic" that deserves some notice and attention.
