[Update] I've met Scott Stevens, and he does not refer to himself as a Meterologist. He refers to himself as a TV weatherman. So I want to be clear this this "debunk" is to put into perspective the claims of other people who repeat some of Scott's theories as if he was a working, credentialed, meteorologist. Scott is a nice guy with some rather eccentric and unscientific ideas that he honestly believes.

Are they taking him back in? A lot of the chemmies are banging on about the weather control aspect of the "theory". I know in the youtube universe of Chemtrails, most chemmies have "HAARP" cloud videos too in which they freak out about hole-punch/fall-clouds and altocumulus undulatus and such. Plus, the king HAARPIE seems to be the most popular chemmie on Youtube.

Micheal Murphy is quoted in the thread https://www.metabunk.org/threads/71-Michael-J-Murphy-s-most-recent/page5 as saying:

Murphy bringing the HAARPIES into his new project?

Stevens' involvement with Murphy's new movie is the result of a quest for the lowest common denominator who will cooperate in this latest scam. Note that previous collaborators have abandoned MJM and aren't participating? Something is amiss there......

Stevens is now selling nostrums called "Ormus", some sort of salt solution which, if chemically analyzed, will surely be found to contain large amounts of aluminum and alkaline metals, especially strontium:

I saw Scott Stevens in M. Murphy's "Why ITWATS".
I decided to look at his current site......just to see if he was selling anything.
He is......and it's quite bizarre, as has already been explained.

He is just another "rouge scientist" that Murphy is able scrape off the internet floor to add paper-thin legitimacy to his film(s), to fool the gullible by listing their former credentials.

I have no problem with someone chasing a personal epiphany. I only wish that people would check and balance those credentials with the "experts' " current beliefs, and apply those credentials realistically, to the subject at hand.

After all, Michael Shermer came from an evangelical Christian background, and Francis Collins^ went to an evangelical foreground.

Stevens is in a manic phase. In a hushed conspiratorial whisper he is claiming that ordinary looking clouds are signs of "Massive Aerosol Operations" out in the pacific ocean.

To understand just how far gone he is you need only view this Q & A in the youtube comments:

    Stevenscrazy.

Do birds of a'feather really flock together?

    I also noticed this Q & A:

    stevens2.

Call me curious, but this I had to see. Over at the National Weather Digest indeed there was indeed an article in which Stevens participated, but not as the author:
Heene, R., R. Stevens, and B. Slusser, 2008: Electromagnetic fields recorded in mesocyclones. Natl. Wea. Dig., 32, 35-44.
    http://www.nwas.org/digest/papers/2008/Vol32No1/Pg35-Henne.pdf

Something seemed awfully familiar about the lead author's name, Richard Heene.

Turns out, Heene was the instigator of the 2009 "Balloon Boy Hoax"

  10. Mick West

    Mick West Administrator Staff Member

That's an interesting connection. Looks like Stevens was quite sensible about the Balloon Boy hoax:

That article was before Heene's son let the cat out of the bag on national TV and the whole incident was revealed as a hoax......

Five days later, Stevens sang a different tune.....

This is a good lesson for Michael J. Murphy and other chemtrails promoters. The day after one of their followers gets in trouble, they will turn on each other like angry wolves...............

Debunkable as he may be, Scott Stevens is able to recognize airline liveries and capture them decently enough on video.

First, he captures an incoming Delta flight leaving NO CONTRAIL:

    stevensdelta1.

Then, he zooms in the video for a positive ID of the livery, as the plane begins to leave a contrail:

    stevensdelta.

Here is the sort of photography which could yield a tail number, when taken at the proper angle:

    deltaskystef.

See the action beginning at 5:30 minutes:

This plane is certainly trackable using Flightaware. The origin and destination, duration, altitude and speed, all of this information is easily found on anyone's computer. You could buy a ticket and fly on the exact flight which probably passes over Steven's house every day. It would make a great movie.........

Scott Stevens is jumping on to the Moore Oklahoma storm bandwagon. Here is his latest video:

I tried to make a comment about a plane he clims is a "drone", but can be identified by livery as a Southwest airlines 373 as I have on many of his videos, and find that he has decided to ban any more comments.

I have flown over his location multiple times on SWA 737s.

He makes some incorrect claims about the satellite image too.

At around the 3:20 mark in the video he starts going on about the unnatural waves in the clouds ahead of the storms.

The waves are gravity waves in the lower troposphere visible as they affect the diurnal cumulus field. Such waves are a good visual indication of wind sheer (change in direction and/or speed with height) and density inversion. Not an uncommon sight ahead of the type of front that can spawn super-cell t-storms. You have to have a density inversion for the waves to occur. This is refered to as a "cap" which will either be warm or dry air that inhibits convection because it is less dense than the surface mixed layer. The upper more buoyant layer flows over the more dense surface layer and you get waves.

The waves occur along a boundary between fluids of different density. Indeed there was a "cap" in place. It was weakest where the biggest storms broke out.

The forecast discussion from Norman NWS office that morning said:

Even though Scott faked his way into a TV meteorologist job, he should be able to recognize such weather features. I think he does.

He also has no excuse for not knowing how many SWA 737s fly over his location regularly.

This has to be deliberate on his part.

In a video blaming the Moore Oklahoma tornado on HAARP/Chemtrails etc...

Scott Stevens calls wavy clouds highly unusual and unnatural.

A couple of posts up I explained them as visual evidence of thermal capping and wind sheer. As such, similar clouds should often appear in association with tornado outbreaks. I just had the thought to see if I could find old satellite images of historic outbreaks.

Here's one from a tornado outbreak in Ohio and PA May 31, 1985: Take note of the clouds over PA and NY ahead of the actual thunderstorms and compare them to what Stevens points to at about the 3:20 mark in his video about Moore OK in 2013.

The "waves" and "ripples" are present in satellite images from a tornado outbreak in 1985 and in 2013 (a bunch of others too). HAARP or waves forming along the boundary between two layers of air of different densities moving with different velocities?

HAARP wasn't around in 1985? No. What are the waves then, Scott Stevens, if not natural and what was causing them in 1985?

I'm just wondering. Where you live, do you see those puffy cauliflower type looking clouds up in the skies? Do you live in a drought stricken area? I use to see them where I live but not no more. All I see are those spidery cotton candy looking clouds. A couple weeks ago I saw some puffy cauliflower clouds and took some pictures of them because they are a rare occurrence around where I live now. A friend of mine had driven to North Carolina from Texas and saw big puffy cauliflower clouds away from the area where we live & took pictures because she never sees them anymore either.

HAARP was probably around before 1985. Usually before the public is informed about it, the military has kept it under wraps for years. Even Zbigniew Brezenski wrote about weather modification in 1969 in his book Between 2 Ages.

In the 70s, former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote in his book Between Two Ages: Technology will make available, to the leaders of major nations, techniques for conducting secret warfare, of which only a bare minimum of the security forces need be appraised.[T]echniques of weather modification could be employed to produce prolonged periods of drought or storm. In the early 80s, Marc Filterman, a former French military officer, too referred to the weather war for which the US and the Soviet Union had acquired the know-how to bring about sudden climatic changes like hurricanes, droughts and floods.
HAARP (an abbreviation for High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Programme) is the outcome of 50 years of research that started in 40s which was later bought by the US in the 90s.

    Heres HAARP at play:

    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/sun-s-magnetic-field--is-about-to-flip---warns-nasa-131005894.html#Mrl8k49

    Just kidding.

This is just kinda an observation. Being the military likes to play God with weather modification which I think they do, I've observed this: When certain nations are on the S___ List they get destructive weather results. Not saying they weren't going o get them anyway. I was reading Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather by 2025 & they mention Venezuela...drug dealers....and using the weather warfare. So i figured, let me guess some bad weather event is gonna happen in Venezuela. Within a year or so they get hit with torrential rains killing 10's of 1000's.

The 1999 Vargas tragedy was a disaster that struck the Vargas State of Venezuela on 15 December 1999, when the torrential rains and the flash floods and debris flows that followed on 14–16 December killed tens of thousands of people, destroyed thousands of homes, and led to the complete collapse of the state's infrastructure. According to relief workers, the neighborhood of Los Corales was buried under 3 metres (9.8 ft) of mud[citation needed] and a high percentage of homes were simply swept away to the ocean. Whole towns like Cerro Grande and Carmen de Uria completely disappeared

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vargas_tragedy

Then theres Japan. They were going to sell Iran non weapons type uranium and they get hit with their earthquakes and tsunami's and I think the sell got blown off. Then I find this article about HAARP:

HAARP was not around in the 1980s. Just because something was talked about that doesn't mean it ever happened. Many folks expected us to have flying cars by now.

We now know how little we really know about the weather. Sea temperatures are an important factor, that was not known in the 80s. They were beginning to think that they did.

These "Haarp makes Earthquakes"-Claim are Bullshit.

Everytime a big Earthquake happened, the Conspiracy-Freaks went to the Website of HAARP and looked to the magnetometer-Graph there. "Bingo! exactly as the Earthquake happened, there are some changings in the Graph on the Haarp-Website!!! Haarp has done it!"

...But the Conspirancy-Believers are just confusing cause and effect here!

The Magnetometer on the Haarp-WEbsite doesn´t display the "Haarp-Activity", A Magnetometer measures magnetic fields and the Magnetometer at Haarp measured the Magnetic field of the Earth.

The Magnetic field of our Planet is created by the Earth-core. Hot liquid Metals rotating there through convection and this results in a kind of "Dynamo"-Effect and thats creating the Earths magnetic field.

An earthquake generates seismic waves, seismic waves can run through the whole planet. This is the reason why large earthquakes can be measured even on the opposite places on Earth

These seismic waves go also through the Earth's core - where the Earth's magnetic field is produced. So any big earthquake has short-term effects on the Earth's magnetic field, and these effects can be detected by every magnetometer here on Earth - not only the magnetometer on the HAARP website

It´s so easy. The "Haarp-Making-Eartquakes"-People just didn´t understand what a Magnetometer really does...

    Reality:

    Earthquakes are influencing the Earth-core.
This results in changins of the Earths magnetic field.
And the Magnetometer on Haarp detected this changes.

    Consiracy-Thinking:

    HAARP DID IT AGAIN!!!
See how the Haarp-Activity peaked as the Earthquake happened!

    By the way:

Haarp is closed since May 2013, due to some contract Problems. If it will be get in use again is unknown. The Director of this research-Program is optimistic, but that´s part of his job to be optimistic for HIS future :)

Here is a really good article about Haarp, what it was doing and and what it can´t do:
    http://www.gizmag.com/haarp-operations-on-hold/28383/

And here is an article about how busy HAARP really was. They have not much to do:

Source: Subline of the second picture presented here: http://www.kirtland.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123215732

    (I want a Job on the HAARP-Facility!
12 Campaigns running 10 days. That means, that i´ve only 120 days per year go to work!!!)

No it wasn't. Nor was the NEXRAD system of weather radars that conspiracy clergy like Micheal Janitch and Scott Stevens associate with HAARP and HAARP like devices. The clouds types that these people blame on HAARP have been around as long as people have been looking at the sky and my post was just to demonstrate that what Stevens was calling new, unnatural, and unusual in May 2013 occurred in May 1985 in a different part of the country but under very similar synoptic weather pattern.

It didn't take me long to find that image either because of my knowledge of basic meteorology and the cloud types that are associated with the weather pattern that favors supercell thunderstorms. Stevens claims extensive knowledge of meteorology and played a weatherman on TV for a spell. He should also know that those cloud types are quite common in association with certain types of spring time frontal systems.

People can dream. How long was 20k Leagues Under the Sea written before we put a submersible on the bottom of a deep trench? I'm still waiting for the flying cars from The Jetsons.

Diurnal cumulus field developes pretty much every day here during the wet season. More in wet years. Less in drought years. Condition is driven by low level humidity and the upper level temps. Deep high pressure causes subsidence that suppresse the formation of such clouds and cuts down on the coverage of diurnal t-showers. Most days here it is clear (or there are high clouds like the cirrus field present this morning) at daybreak and by 10AM-12PM there will be an extensive field of puffy clouds as solar heating of the surface begins to initiate convective mixing of the surface layer.

Oh. Well that's different. He was fired in 1995 for claiming to be a scientist. So creating stories about all of us being poisoned is his response to being unemployable as a TV weatherman?

No. The point about him being fire is that he's not actually a fully qualified meteorologist, which some people say he is. It's a fairly minor point.

He genuinely believes in the things he says. He's not deliberately making them up, just wrong.

This video describes an exchange between Stevens and a guy asking for an explanation about photos of old persistent contrails.

Stevens moved the goalposts back in time and space to explain that old photos don't show contrails at all, but rather 50 year old examples of chemtrails technology learned from Grey aliens who worked with the Nazis.

Stevens also asserts that total biosphere collapse and planetary depopulation by alien beings is nearly completed and is the intent of chemtrails.
