Conspiracy Watch: Umpqua Community College Shooting, Roseburg Oregon

Not really, tbh. I may have been vaguely aware of the CCG in my early magic days ('95 onward), like I was the CoC CCG.

My story is six years of CCGs, eleven of minis, and three of a mix of board, card, and minis. Steve Jackson Games wouldn't even have crossed my radar before '12.

I'm suprised more CTs aren't Paranoia players
Steve Jackson described Paranoia as "the first sophisticated parody of the basic tropes of roleplaying. Paranoia didn't offer dungeons full of monsters with sillier names than those in D&D. It introduced something scarier... the futuristic tunnels of Alpha Complex, in which all the monsters were human and nobody ever got out. Paranoia held all of roleplaying, as it was then practiced, to a dark and twisted mirror. Then it threw cream pies

I remember Steve Jackson Games when it was all just fields. In MY day we had to make do with Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

This guy has almost 70,000 subscribers on YouTube. He thinks everyone involved - cops, reporters, civilians - are all actors. He's getting a surprising amount of positive feedback in the comments.

So this is going around as "proof" the Chris Mintz was not shot at UCC. The claim is that he's not strapped down and not bleeding. He was shot in the hand(s) and they don't seem to be bleeding.
What really has the CT torqued is that he has a gofundme account with lots of donations which apparently proves he's faking it for the money.

Does anyone have a photo of a gunshot victim similar to this. I've seen some photos of victims and gunshots don't always bleed profusely, like on TV.

Not sure how this photo can really be constructed as 'proof'.

Mr Mintz underwent seven hours of surgery and suffered two broken legs and significant blood loss from his injuries in the tragedy that left 10 dead, including the shooter.

The gunman burst into a classroom, shot a professor in the head and then ordered cowering students to stand up and state their religion before shooting them one by one, according to survivors' accounts.

As Mercer moved toward an adjoining classroom, Mr Mintz, an army combat veteran who served in Iraq, threw himself against the classroom door to prevent the gunman from entering.

But Mercer managed to blast his way in and repeatedly shot Mr Mintz, ignoring pleas that it was his son Tirek's sixth birthday.

"He gets shot three times, hits the floor, looks up at the gunman and says 'it's my son's birthday' and gets shot more times," Mr Mintz's aunt, Wanda Mintz, told local television state Fox 8.

"He could have very easily died."

She said Mr Mintz was shot in the back, abdomen, left hand and once in each leg but is expected to recover.

This photo is of him arriving at hospital. His abdomen wound already looks treated, at least superficially, which is what you would expect from paramedics and first responders.

His left hand is obstructed from view. As is his back. His legs are too, but the way his right leg is limp/hanging on the stretcher looks (to me) like it would be very broken.

There are tons. But for obvious reasons i'm not posting 100 photos of gunshot or bombing victims. But heres one from the Totonto Mall shooting

There are also hospital photos of Chris Mintz online that show his left hand and abdomen wound (and him on some pain killers) but I feel icky posting them too.

I always love the "this isn't how normal people act" narrative. Watch the footage of the challenger explosion, Christa McAuliffes parents just seem to smile nonchalantly as soon as it happens and don't talk or acknowledged each other. Shock takes on many forms. More troubling is the forensics, how it happens on tv and the movies is supposedly valid evidence. Never mind that in real life people can get fatally shot and don't even realize it sometimes.

It's obvious that these people already made up their minds about what happened and they fit everything to that, but the troubling part is they're not even hiding it anymore they just say it outright.

I haven't posted in ages but this shooting happened near where I live and it depressed me immensely as soon as I heard about it because I knew what it would lead to. I am not the only person this has happened to and I wonder what is going to happen in the future. To be frank this person that I love who is a conspiracy theorists is my spouse.

After researching and reviewing many options I don't believe there is much you can do with a true believer except inject bits of logic very slowly like a vaccine. Time after time I have refuted, debunked and totally demolished my spouses arguments and it always ends up with them finding and clinging to the most outrages bullshit there is in retaliation.

Like creationists. Or a chemtrail believer. Yesterday I saw a photo of a cloud. Someone said it was natural, someone said it was not. Someone else said "let's find a patent that could have created this."

yes. Luckily, most people have NO experience with these sorts of situations, so they in fact have no idea how "normal people" act in them. They also have no experience with camera crews in your face (regarding live interviews of the very few people in each situation who are in a state of mind to even grant them) and how surreal that is.
